Right now, I'm hating you SOOO much for hooking me on this story with all of these fucked up characters that I've come to care about. Yeah, you even had to go and make feel sorry for Karl now. Thanks, that was a real nice touch. What a hot mess this has become, it's like seeing a car accident ahead and knowing it's going to be bad, but you can't look away. So, now that you've made my head start spinning around like Regan in the "Exorcist" I suppose you're pleased with yourself, aren't you? Well, I have to admit, I'm pleased with you too, and with this very unusual love story that just gets better with each chapter. Five more *****s.

The set-up behind the Karl/Kyle sham marriage has some holes in it. And it makes no sense that Karl doesn't allow Kyle to have any affairs with men, because he considers it cheating! I want to smack him over the head, especially that Kyle is sacrificing so much to cover up for Karl.

So now they gotta pretend like Ross is a woman?! And why would Kyle want to try a relationship with Ross, and still sleep with Karl and have random hook-ups with women?! Been wanting the story to head towards a romance between the two, so I'm a bit disappointed by the way it's happening...

Sure, it does have some holes in it. It's the first time we even hear about it, and from only a single conversation under duress.

It's true Karl is a jealous lover, well some people are not perfect or always rational in their flaws :)

I think Ross would agree with you a lot about Kyle sacrificing so much for someone like Karl. But as it usually is, things are not just black or white, and people have many layers. We know very little about either of these men yet.

Kyle and Ross are only starting to explore this thing between them, and both are protecting themselves in ways they feel comfortable with. Sure, it may not be something you or I would result to, but they are their own people, and obviously, they are okay with it.

If you are looking for a more romantic trope, I can respect that, but in the end, you have clicked on a story called Fiance of my Ex-boss, and I think I was transparent enough in the first chapters that Ross is not your "traditional romantic protagonist" :) This story will be sweet and romantic to some extent, but you must count on the fact that either of these two may approach it differently than you would imagine it.

Well that was a weird chapter but it does explain the Don piece and why Kyle would want to be married to Karl. It’s unfair that Karl will go back with Don but Karl says Kyle can’t be with a guy or it’s cheating. I wonder if Kyle had honestly shared with Karl (or himself for that matter) how much he really likes guys, especially Ross. Or if he’s even told Karl that he’s Bi…

I do get the rich guys just enjoying their surprise peaceful breathing space since their engagement. It’s sad but Kyle has no family otherwise and I don’t know how screwed up Karl’s other family dynamics are. But as you say people make choices, not necessarily the ones we would have or they will be happy with in 5-10 or 20 years. I’m interested to read the 2 year update Ross and Kyle as well. Kyle still irks me though that less than 1 minute after he tells Ross he wants to date him, he’s complaining about needing to wear a condom for a one night stand. Ross even took the risk to tell Kyle that he likes him. Good for Ross to respond with his possible plans to still hookup with married men to put Kyle in his place.

Karl, most importantly, doesn't know that Kyle is bi, but you are right. Again, jealousy is sometimes irrational and selfish... and Kyle didn't think of himself as bi either before Ross.

Kyle is not complaining about the need to wear a condom. It's a bit unfortunate how the pages are divided. Kyle won't be sleeping with other people. But when Ross says that he-Ross will keep sleeping with others, Kyle tries to understand, given he is the one marrying another person, and demands at least that Ross will wear a condom cos he doesn't want to worry about catching something.

Ok. Thanks for confirming my suspicion that Karl doesn’t know about Kyle being Bi. Now Ross doesn’t know that Karl doesn’t know. It reminds me of the old adage “oh what a tangled web we weave when we practice to deceive.” Kyle is gonna have some splainin to do here in a bit.

I’ll need to reread the end of the chapter again and get the extra one night stand agreement sleeping options sorted.

The main theme of this story is that not everyone knows about everything and just wait till Matt and Brandon join the fun ;)
