Joe, you have an extraordinary way of leaving a person hanging and wanting the next chapter. I've not been able to predict how things are going to go but I find the characters believable (suspending disbelief in appropriate quantities) and the story is fascinating, hot, and squishy.

This series is on par with The Ancient Prophecy as the absoulte best I have ever read. It's become more than something I simply read for sexual enjoyment. I care about the characters, I anticipate what happens next, and overall am amazed that you are not a published writer. After the month mark between this chapter and the last I was beginning to fear you took another hiatus; glad to see my fears were unfounded. Keep up the phenomenal work!

P.S- I know this is presumptuous of me but I would like to request something: one of the strongest factors that made me fall in love with this series is the relationship between Jack and Jennifer. If you could devote a chapter to the growing romance between them I would be extremely appreciaticve. Maybe Jack could suprise Jen with something like a candlelit dinner where he whole-heartily thanks her for how much she's done for him and lets her know how much he truely cares. To be honest, I've heard/seen this story before, but I'd only read the first few chapters, and that was probably several months ago. Now that I've re-found this story, I've read every chapter in a scant couple of days, no thanks to life's little interruptions...

But I love every minute of it. Your ideas are top-notch, and I certainly enjoy the amount of loving naughtiness shared by Jack and Jennifer. I hope that sometime in the story, those two finally do get married, which'll make Jennifer so happy. Until then, I'm just gonna have to wait patiently for you to pump out another chapter...

It's about 3am and only now, after I read all 28 chapters back to back, can I go to sleep contended. I can't tell you how much I love the plot, the characters and all those bits and pieces that give the story it's unmistakable flavor. Just like all these other guys I'll be waiting with my fingers crossed for the next chapter(s), as there are so many possibilities for advancing the story for someone with your talent. On a personal note, I really hope we'll see a wedding coming up in the future, in the meantime just get working on the next chapter already!!!

Two year break, a few more, two more years... more stories? please?

I'm no literary critic but the author deserves honest feedback for his efforts, so here goes:

I just read the 28(*) chapters of the story in one sitting and found it an enjoyable read. Not on Dostoevsky's level but one has to manage his expectations and, given my general view that Sturgeon's assertion that "90% of everything is crap" is optimistic, it is refreshing to find something which isn't.

<p>

(*) Most of this was written after I finished chapter 25, I then noticed there were 3 more chapters, read them and updated the comment with "subnotes" accordingly.

<p>

First, the good stuff.

<p>

The language is eloquent, the story is flowing (if a bit predictable, but then this is the nature of the genre), the characters are multidimensional and evolving and the erotic scenes are titillating yet tastefully presented.

<p>

With any story involving magic there is a chance of ruining internal consistency but the author manages to avoid that by specifying strict limits on what Genie is allowed to do. The question "if magic exists why don't we experience it" is also handled in a reasonable manner(*).

<p>

(*) Genie's exposition on the nature and proliferation of magic in the later chapters brings the story into dangerous territory.

<p>

That said, I walked away with a feeling of slight disappointment because I felt that the full potential of the series was not realized.

<p>

Here we have a protagonist that has at his command the power to make any sexual fantasy or fetish into reality and yet, his use of this power can only be described as "mundane".

<p>

Jack uses his wishes to give himself a bigger penis (6" flaccid, 10" hard, compare to largest reported size of 9.5"/13.5") and longer endurance, float his partner, heal VDs, alter sexual responses of some people around him, live out a typical high-school nerd fantasy and suchlike(*).

<p>

(*) Rearrange pool plumbing? Oh my...

<p>

To me, this is akin to getting an invitation to the best restaurant in the world, all expenses paid, and asking for a plate of french fries with lots of ketchup and a can of Pepsi.

<p>

Ironically, the author seems to acknowledge the situation as he has Genie say: "You really haven't been taking advantage of even a small percentage of my full potential, Master".

<p>

That left me with the impression that, when it comes to sex, Jack is somewhat challenged in the imagination department. What did surprise me was Jack's reaction (or the lack of it) to Genie's suggestion to experience intercourse from her point of view. He basically just took it in stride even though his prior behavior did not suggest that he considered something completely outside the scope of his natural ability to experience as possible(*).

<p>

(*) In chapter 26, Jack actually gets to experience "a bit of what [Genie] is feeling". Surely such an event deserved more than the 3 lines that it got. As it was, I felt it was a cop-out by the author.

<p>

Now, don't get me wrong. If the author is uncomfortable with exploring sexual experiences too far off of human norm, that's fine by me. However, introducing an "all-powerful Sex Genie" (sic) that outright tells the protagonist that there are practically no limits to her abilities in that department, and then failing to take full advantage of this device is, well, disappointing.

All in all, I'd rate the series so far as 8+ on my personal scale of erotic fiction and express my hopes that in following chapters the author will

(a) allow "Jenifer" to be more creative (she seems better suited to instigate such things than Jack, perhaps with a suitably worded wish), and

(b) refrain from over-explaining phenomena that is better left unexplained.

I enjoyed <B>what there is</B> of this series tremendously. Since there has been no activity for two years it appears the author has abandoned it. I used to get very annoyed with the disappeared authors, I still get frustrated when I have invested a lot of time only to find it very unfinished and abandoned.

In many ways "Literotica" is a superior site, its handling of abandoned stories is not one of them. Although I don't like the format of "Stories Online's" author's story lists, they do a much better job with abandoned stories and story size than "Literotica".
