@burnt_njal "&c." is unfamiliar to Americans, that's all. "etc." is a little better. Best, according to some style guides, would be to not use the abbreviation, and either spell out "et cetera" or not use the Latin at all and instead say something like "and so on."

The stories here are an attempt to learn to write narrative. I have written a lot of technical stuff, and some humorous vignettes, but nothing with dialog or a storyline. We’ll see if it works.
