So it's happened and the scales have fallen from Pixie's eyes. I always knew that Ruth was about as trustworthy as a hungry hyena. In its way, this was a very touching episode with a mixture of characters, the cold-hearted and the thoroughly decent. I'm assuming the story continues and hope that Pixie finds a relationship more worthy of her.

Instead of immersing herself in a steamy sex scene as most readers (including myself) were undoubtedly expecting, Pixie finds her way out of an abusive relationship.

The characters of Ruth and Milly have no depth, therefore I am wondering whether we will hear anything about new developments between them. Perhaps the abuser will become the abused, since the new woman imposed the condition of exclusivity on their relationship. Perhaps it will dawn to Ruth that it was her loss to let Pixie go, and she will find herself abandoned before long.

As Ruth moves on, Pixie moves up. Karen does not rescue Pixie (Pixie did that herself) but she opens doors to a new life for her.

I love the nuance of your nature that you're showing in this series.

And while it was sad for Pixie, I think it was the best thing that could have happened to her. And the job situation is better for her too, in my opinion. I do hope she is successful at meeting new people. :)

There was a strong sense that this was coming. It is one thing to be dominate in a relationship, it is another altogether to be callous and unfeeling towards someone who loves you and who you supposedly love. Just a guess, but I bet Little Pixie lands on her feet.
