At this point, I feel like your work is kinda drifting off in your own direction. There's nothing wrong with simply writing for oneself, but I am a bit sad it didn't go for the early hint of colonial love.

Don't worry, there will be plenty of love and sex in future chapters. I plan for this story to follow Jonas and his family for several generations.
