This is one scene from a longer, unfinished work. It is still debatable if it will ever see the light of day. But, should Ryann Payne's first story find itself published, there probably will be two or three more featuring her.

This is a pretty good start, BUT if there is no follow on chapter, then it wasn't worth reading!!

As I stated, this is part of a longer work. This is a story that I hope to finish in time for the Crime and Punishment event later this year. This isn't actually in the beginning of the story, but somewhere inside it. This was published as part of the 750-Word Challenge 2024.

I'm always surprised that, in stories, guys like him are written to believe he won't be killed if he pays it back. If he's that stupid, how'd he ever get hired by them in the first place?

I normally like revenge murders but I didn't like this one.
