"You're goddamned right, I can. I meant what I said in there. You're my good luck charm, Alison. With you at my side, I could take over the world. You're with him for now, but you're still mine."
I watched him and Even drive off, disappearing into the night. I was a long way from the city. I breathed deep. Jace had told me I was smart. That I was calculating. And indeed I was.
"Alison?" Boss Blood called out from behind me. "Come away from the window now. That's a good girl."
I giggled. "Yes, sir!" and came trotting over like the bimbo I was.
