The Anderson Women Pt. 02

When she had told him that they had to stop, he had accepted it. That night, a month ago, he had been stunned and hurt by her decision but he hadn't let it show. He had known it from the start and had seen reason in her argument. It had been a surprise, the suddenness of it all, yet he had held back.

But now, now he was pissed.

"I listened to you when you told me. I didn't try to stop you in any way because you said that it was what you wanted..."

"So what are you doing now, Sarah?"

His voice got louder as he got angrier.

"It's not fair!"

He realized he couldn't ignore it anymore, he couldn't anymore pretend to not see it.

"Just what do you want me to do?"

"What do you want?!"

He nearly screamed in frustration.

Suddenly he heard Vanessa mutter something in her sleep and his brain registered that he wasn't alone. So engrossed he became in his thoughts that he forgot that his mother was asleep beside him.

"What? Mom?"

"You want something?"

"Baby I wa..."

Mike could barely make out her words but his eyes bugged out when he finally figured them out. His breath got stuck in his throat and his mind became blank, his frustrations and anger going poof. It was the last thing he could imagine.

In the silent room, he repeated Vanessa's words absentmindedly.

"Baby, I want to be a mommy!"
