Prologue: In the Beginning

"Verily at the first Chaos came to be, but next wide-bosomed Earth, the ever-sure foundation of all."

- Hesiod's Theogony

In the beginning of this Realm, there was nothing. What would later be classified as "The Big Bang" by scientists was more an eruption of light and life. Primordial beings of immense power came into existence as overwhelming forces. They shared a single world that would later be called Earth. Rather than start a conflict, these primordial beings agreed to create boundaries in this Realm's world. Each would govern all the facets in those areas, from the sun to the sky to the wind. Names like Ymir, Chaos, Atum, Pangu, Ometeotl, Tangaroa, and others would be used later to describe some of these beings.

In the land that would be called Greece, literal Chaos reigned. Chaos was a near-formless being who embodied both sexes and would later spawn from this primordial being. Later, some would say, Chaos was "The Nothingness from which All Else Sprang."

Chaos would have five children. Erebus, the personification of darkness and shadow, was the first. Next was Gaia, Mother of the land of Greece and the Titans. Eros was the being of desire. Tartarus, the chaotic being, was the first ruler of the Underworld. Last was Mother Night, Nyx, the first of the Chthonic Deities.

From these beings came all the Titans of Olympus. Before mankind reigned in the mortal Realm of Greece, Primordials walked the Earth. A great war nearly broke out amongst these beings. However, before Chaos went into a domain for themselves to think and ponder their creation, Chaos blessed Ouranos, the son of Gaia, to be the ruler over all of the deities of Greece.

Ouranos was a giant, but his qualities were similar to the men who would come later. Ouranos had white hair like the clouds and a flowing beard that crackled with the lightning he commanded. One day, his grandson, Zeus, would be seen as a lesser imitation of the Sky Lord. Ouranos ruled with fairness but a sense of entitlement. When the time came for him to take a wife, he chose his Mother, Gaia. Her bountiful form was as beautiful as it was monumental. She was tall, earthy, with hair of vines and leaves. Her lips were cracked bark, but her body was as feminine as the newer beings.

Author's Notes: As most of my Readers know, this started with The Sequel to Heracles. While I was working on The Three Sons, I was kind of bombarded with but 'Hades didn't deserve this' or 'Zeus was not so bad' or asking who this person was or that person was, which was frustrating me to no end!

I have been working with my editor, MissJenny54, and we have plotted out the story from here to The Sequel of Heracles, which I will be rewriting and renaming because I will be changing certain events, so it flows better.

Also, I will be releasing these once a week, most likely on Mondays or Fridays. If my editor and I get ahead, I will release two chapters a week, but I will try not to do more than that as I want to set a pace I can keep up with.

As I will be covering a lot of Greek and other mythologies, please be patient with me. When I finish a story, I will probably put it in a big batch, so you can read parts and arcs as a whole. But know that these stories take time. Some will be longer; some shorter.

These will be the mythological stories with an adult edge, meaning characters will have sex, but that will not be the central focus. The story comes first, and sex comes second. As such, some chapters will not be erotic in nature, but when sex comes, I have no intention of cutting to black.

I will give content warning/thematic warnings at the first chapter of every 'book' of what will be in them. Some characters will have sex with intelligent, mythological creatures like Medusa. As it is Greek Mythology, there will be so much incest. I won't bring attention to it unless I really want to explore that, but characters like Ouranos and Gaia are mother and son as well as husband and wife, and Zeus and Hera are brother and sister as well as husband and wife. Things like BDSM, sub and doms, cuckolding, polyamory, and non-con will happen.

We're adults on Literotica. You should know what you're getting into. Again, I will warn you, but I promise to try and make each story worth reading.

Further, I have been very careful to keep these Mythologies to their original tales, but I did put my own spin on them. This means I will be morphing and exploring characters how I want, but this does not make it the end all be all of the character. I might even have something to say about that in my story if you're willing to listen.

If you have a keen eye, you will notice that I also pay homage to quite a few re-tellings from Hades to God of War to Percy Jackson, and so on and so forth. If you think something is a reference to something else, it probably is.

I will also be removing Tale of the Three Sons at some point. You will understand why when we get there. Have patience. I promise it will be worth it.

Finally, I will be giving a cast list at the beginning of every story, so you can keep up with all the characters. If they are not in the cast list, they are probably not important or I overlooked them, but the major players will be there with a brief description of their job. While I also write and imagine certain characters in certain ways, let your imagination enjoy them.

As always, please leave ratings, reviews, and comments. I am a creature motivated by praise and constructive criticism. I hope by the time we get to my more favorite stories that I get better and the stories are worthy of the praise my first work was given.

This sound like an immense undertaking that requires an incredible amount of planning since once you start down a path, it is difficult to change things without getting a mailbox full of batching and moaning although it sounds like this has already occurred I one of your other endeavors. I understand that people become passionate of a story that they have found personally resonates with them but to keep yourself sane I would suggest (and this is not any new or groundbreaking advice) that you accept the comments (good or bad helpful or time waster) as a good thing that shows you have a dedicated audience. Advice and suggestions can go either way but you have a plan laid out with the direction you want and the story you want to tell so while you might find something helpful in the comments, stick to your plan. If they want to write their own story then good for them but to complain about something that you explained ahead of time that it is your view with possible twists means that everyone knew going in that your word is law and bitching/whining about it is a waste of time and bandwidth. I hope something here at least helps a little since I have lost too many awesome authors who got sick and tired of defending their work and I do not want to lose you as well. Good luck and stay healthy.

Lexx xoxo
