Katja smiled back asking, "I love you too my mate. How's everything going love?"

Erik smiled at her, "Alright I guess, but I really miss you and the kids." Then he said a little more quietly, "Our other mate misses you and them also, she told me to give you her love."

Katja smiled at that, "Tell her the same love. By that I assume she, visited?"

Erik nodded yes, no matter how many times he asked, and she said no, he always hoped Katja wouldn't become mad or jealous.

Katja smiled, "Well then, tell her I miss and love her also." She sighed, "I wish I was there with you both."

Brigit materialized sitting next to Erik, and she smiled, "I wish you could also Katja, I do miss you."

Katja smiled again. "Well, hopefully, it shouldn't be much longer until we see each other again. Take care of our mate."

Brigit smiled at her, "I will Katja, and please give the children a hug and kiss for me." Then she added wistfully, "I wish I could be with them more, but I don't think they'd understand this right now."

Aileen was playing with Niall in her room, they were both pretty much inseparable now. She was sitting on the floor and she rolled a small ball for him and he would chase it down. Then he'd bring it back to her so she could do it again. He liked it because Aileen would hug him each time he brought the ball back. She had just rolled it again, when she smiled as she heard her other mommies voice in her head. She stood up and said, "Niall, I'll be right back, I have to go and say hi to my other mommy."

Niall purred, "Alright Aileen, I'll wait here for you." He looked up at her with his big kitten eyes, "Then can we play some more?"

Aileen grinned and picked him up, hugged him and licked his cheek telling him yes. Niall purred even louder and returned the kiss. She put him back down and she walked quickly out of the room and headed to go see and say hi to her other mommy. She wished she could see her more often; she could sense it when she was with daddy and her other mommy every night. She also loved when she would stop in and see her at night sometimes when she was in bed. She would give her a kiss and tuck her in like her other mommy.

But she didn't understand totally why that was the only time she could see her; she saw her other mommy all the time and they played together. But she guessed it was because her other mommy was a goddess and she had other people and things to look after. She'd really like it better if she was here like her other mommy all the time. She loved them both very much, along with her daddy. Like her big sister, she loved when daddy held her and called her kitten. It always made her feel good, loved, and safe.

She walked into the living room and smiled as she heard her daddy, and her two mommies' talking to each other on the computer. She ran over to the couch and jumped on to it waving. "Hi daddy, hi mommy, I love you."

Katja was stunned as her daughter came running over to the couch waving to Erik and Brigit.

Brigit gasped at first, then smiled tenderly at her, "Hello sweetness, I love you too." She hugged Erik's arm tightly as she talked to her daughter.

Erik was a bit shocked himself as Aileen came on the screen waving to him and Brigit. Then he smiled, "Hello kitten, it's nice to see you, I love and miss you too."

Katja pulled Aileen onto her lap and held her as she smiled up at her mother. Then Aileen grinned, "I miss you too daddy, are you and mommy coming home soon?"

Erik smiled once more, "Maybe next weekend kitten, daddy still has to look at everything here to make sure it's ready for when the other ones we told you about come here. Okay?"

She nodded pouting slightly, "Oh, okay. I wish you and mommy could come home now." She pouted a little again, "And then maybe mommy can be with us too like our mommy here." She smiled up at Katja, then at her daddy and other mommy, "I taught Niall a new trick, I'll show you when you both come home."

Brigit's heart was breaking a little as her little girl said she wished they could come home now and be with them like Katja was. She wiped her eyes. "Yes dear one, I'd love to see it and be there also. We'll have to figure out some way to make it happen."

Erik watched Brigit wipe her eyes and it wrenched at his heart also. He looked at the clock on the side table. 'Fuck. He needed to go meet the others in about twenty minutes.'

"Kitten, I have to go in a few minutes and see uncle Geoff, Tony, Azlan, and Axel. But I promise, when we come home, I'll try to figure out something, okay kitten?"

Aileen smiled at her daddy, if he said he was going to fix it, she knew he would. "Okay daddy, tell them I said hi."

Erik smiled at his little girl. "I will kitten. Now why don't you go and play so I can talk to your mothers for a couple minutes before I have to go and get Uncle Tony. I love you kitten."

Aileen smiled and nodded. "Okay daddy, I will, and tell uncle Tony I love him. Bye mommy, I love you."

Brigit smiled back at her, "I love you to Aileen, now you go play like your father said dear one."

Aileen hugged her mother and Katja hugged her back and kissed her. She got down off the couch and walked to her room, still a little sad, but she knew her daddy would fix everything because he said he would.

His eyes burning with unshed tears, Erik gave Brigit a one-armed hug. She looked at him and he saw the pain in her eyes and Katja's, so he said to both of them, "Let me think about this for a bit my mates and see what I can come up with. Right now, I have to go before someone comes looking for me. I love you Katja, we'll talk to you again after dinner tonight, give the kids a hug and kiss for us."

Her eyes burning a little from unshed tears also, Katja nodded okay. She was upset herself, and wished they could be together also. From being joined to Brigit so often, she could feel her pain, "I will love. Brigit, let our mate think on this, if anyone can come up with something, it's him. I know what you're feeling and I want the same."

Brigit nodded and sniffled a little, "Yes, I believe your right love, he is very good at fixing things. I love you too dear one, give all the children a hug from me."

Erik shut the program down, then he gathered up Brigit in his arms and held her while she cried. She looked up at him finally, "Do you think we can come up with a way love? I really wish we could all be together as a real family."

Erik kissed her as he stroked her hair, "I think so, but let me think it all the way through." He looked at the clock once more. "I really need to go love, or they'll come looking for me."

Brigit nodded, "Alright, I'll be back later. I love you Erik." She kissed him once again, then she was gone before he could tell her the same.

Erik stood and now that he was alone, he cried also as he paced back and forth trying to calm himself. He knew something like this would happen eventually, it was a foregone conclusion. It broke his heart when he saw Brigit crying, you'd think being Goddess, it wouldn't affect her as bad. Then he remembered their conversation about her becoming more human because of all the changes happening.

He sighed. After today, he believed it. There had to be a way, it would be so much easier if they could just tell the kids everything. He felt Geoff, more or less knew from all the times he and Brigit talked to him. Aileen knew, but she was still very young and maybe couldn't understand it all. Then he remembered her calling Bast and Briast aunts, so she knew they were all sort of related.

He looked at the clock and cursed again. He walked out and slowly made his way to the hanger they were using as he continued thinking about their problem. Brigitte also knew about her, she was more or less named after Brigit, but he wasn't sure just how much she knew, or if she knew, about Brigit being Geoff and Aileen's mother also. He figured she did, after all Briast had taught them the advanced mind speech, so she could hear them also, he guessed. So basically, I guess the kids all know, but did they really understand it?

'And what about all the others?' He asked himself.

Celia knew, as did Erin, Lucy, and of course Ariel and Tony, plus Helen and Azlan did. Uncle Geoff did more or less, and he'd know more, once Bast told him and Vicky about their son. He didn't know if something similar would also happen to them. Why else would Bast do it? They were also told that Briast and Geoff would also be like us once he was older.

His thoughts were so jumbled right now, going to one thing, then another, he just couldn't think straight like normal. 'Damn it,' He thought to himself, 'Why the fuck can't I think straight about this?'

He got to the hanger and greeted all the rest waiting, then leaned back against the hanger door to continue thinking about it. He also figured that that since Geoff had told Gesa about Brigit, that Brigitte might have told Bryan, if she knew, and if Geoff didn't as they were brothers like him and Tony.

He sighed once more and tried to get his thoughts organized. He was so used to having his thoughts nice and organized, but they weren't anywhere near that right now and it was pissing him off. Which, of course, made it even worse. He took a deep breath and held it, closed his eyes and let it out slowly to center himself like he did when meditating.

Then he thought, 'So, basically, just about all the family knew. Granted, maybe not all of them, he wasn't sure about Katja's parents.' He shrugged mentally, 'So, as far as I know, just about everyone knew somewhat about it.'

He took another centering breath, then he stood straight up as his little voice finally said to him, and it actually sounded a little pissed off at him, 'Since everyone knows, what's the big fucking deal? Who the hell are you keeping it from? Just make sure the kids keep it to themselves, that way Brigit can spend all the time she wants with all of them at home. She normal joins you every night after the kids go to bed anyhow, but if they know, what does it matter. Explain it to them, they'll understand, and be happier because they can see and be with her more often.'

He smiled to himself feeling better after his little voice smacked him around a little and thought once again about what the One, had said to them; "Your both welcome my children, know that I love you both. I've granted all this because I knew the love you had for each other, the love you have for your other mate, your children and for the good that both of you do every day. All you have, is your reward for this."

Erik thought to himself; 'If it wasn't allowed, I'm sure the One wouldn't let it happen or at least say something to us. But no, the One said, "All you have, is your reward for this."

He smiled again as his normal intuition finally came back suggesting an answer to it all. Then sent out, "Thank you father for this gift."

He smiled to himself as he heard the One say, "You're welcome my son, but it's not so much a gift, as it is an inherent quality in you. As you're so fond of saying my son. However, there is still much that is hidden from you, but it's not the correct time for you to know my son."

Erik smiled once more, "I understand father, maybe not all of it, but I believe I do. As my teacher is so fond of saying, "Everything must happen at the proper time, or it may not happen correctly."

He heard a chuckle, "And that is why you were directed to my daughter's priestess my son. She is much wiser than she knows. Be well my son, I love thee."

Erik smiled, "Thank you father, I love you also." Erik smile to himself, again, 'I wonder just how true, him saying, "Father" really was.' His normal intuition suggested an answer to that as well.

When she left, Brigit fled to her house in the Ether. She hugged herself as tears rolled down her face, she had never felt like this before. 'I hope my mate can come up with an idea.' It had hurt so bad when their little girl said she wished they could come home now and be with them like Katja was. She was a goddess, why couldn't she come up with an answer?' Her thoughts were just as jumbled as Erik's were.

Then she heard, "Fear not my daughter." Brigit looked up and saw the One. The One was a being of pure energy and light, but at this moment, the One took on a featureless human shape. "My son, your mate, has already came up with an answer my daughter. I'm sorry you had to experience this, but it was the only way for you all to grow. The answer was there all the time, my son just had to put his mind to it to hear the answer."

Brigit looked at the One quickly, "He has?? Thank you, father, I think I understand now. This is part of the change then?"

"Your very welcome my daughter, it pleases me you understand what I had to do and it is. But everything will be as you wish, your mate still needs to figure some things out, but he will. Due to all of you being upset, it had affected him, and he hasn't been able to look at the problem unemotionally like normal. But he has come to his senses, so to speak, and will come to the correct conclusion shortly."

The One chuckled a bit, "I'm quite proud of him really. He knows, and guesses, more now than before of what we talked about dear one. I told him there is still much that is hidden from him, but it's still not the correct time for him to know everything. As I've told you before my daughter, be prepared for some questions when you join him later, he might understand even more than we thought. Be well my daughter."

Brigit smiled and wiped her tears with the back of her hand, "Thank you father for easing my mind."

Her face was caresses by the loving hand of the One, "Your welcome Brigit, when you talk to my granddaughter later give her my love. The One chuckled, "I love that little girl. If not for her, you all wouldn't have been steered to the right decision."

Jeff's walkie-talkie toned and he was told the shuttle was approaching the base. He thanked his man, and he walked over to were Geoff and Nicholas were talking. Jeff smiled, "Nicholas, I just got word the shuttle is approaching the base. I'd guess they'd be here in about ten minutes give or take."

Nicholas smiled, "Thanks Jeff." Then he turned back to Geoff, "Geoff, why don't we go over and join the others. Uh... do you know if the shuttle is staying? Or are they heading back after dropping off the New Tygris people?"

Geoff smiled, "As far as I know, unless something has changed, they're staying until everything is done. But I'll still be going back tomorrow as of right now."

Nicholas nodded as they joined the others. Then about ten minutes later, they heard the high-pitched hum of the shuttle coming in for a landing. Once it touched down, the humming and blue glow around the edges stopped, then a couple minutes later the ramp came down and the New Tygris people walked down then over to the hanger.

Geoff and the others greeted them. "Nigel, Mr. Hayes, it's so good to see you both. How have you been?"

Nigel smiled, "Good morning Commander, it's good to see you and the others also. How is everything?"

Jim grinned as he saw, Erik, Tony and Jeff standing together. He walked over greeted them, "Jeff, long time no see. I see you know my two favorite squids." The three of them laughed and they all shook hands.

Jeff grinned back, "Well, since they're civilians now, I guess they got rid of some of those bad habits sailors normally have."

Erik looked at the two of them, then turned to Tony, "Typical crayon-eaters. All the comedians out of work, and they're still trying to be funny."

Tony laughed, "Yeah, I figured Evie would have broken him of that by now, but once a marine, always a marine I guess."

They all laughed and they all asked how their families were, then Erik asked how Bob and Kendra were.

Jim smiled, "Bob, Kendra and the kids are good, and like yours and mine, all of them are growing like weeds. Once we get a little time, I'll show you some pictures." Nicholas called Jeff over so he could meet the others and he smiled, "I'll be back in bit.

They nodded, then Jim looked around at the hanger, "So tell me guys, what kind of shape is this place in? Please tell me it's better than this hanger at least."

Erik smirked, "What you see is what you get."

Jim rolled his eyes, "That's surprising considering this place was an air force base."

Tony nodded, "We thought the same ourselves. But we haven't really looked at anything yet, so we're hoping the other parts are slightly better." He snorted a laugh, "I guess we were spoiled with our two places."

Erik agreed, "That's going to be our first thing to do, give everything the once over tomorrow." He looked over at the others, then stepped closer, "Look Jim, it's pretty much just going through the motions right now, we know nothing about what the Avianne's and Kannite's plan on doing once they get here. Hell, we don't even know if they're staying here, or just dropping the settlers off and leaving to go back and get more. We won't know until the come out of hyperspace and get into our system so we can actually talk with them."

Jim nodded his understanding, "Yeah, we sort of heard that from Captain Julius and Kendra before we left New Tygris." He shrugged, "I guess we'll play it by ear until we find out some more info for now."

Like they did yesterday, they went to the conference room and talked about the same things they did yesterday, and to let the others know what was planned. Once they were done with that, Erik asked Nigel what he thought was the best way to proceed.

Nigel smiled, then he and Hayes gave them their insight from when they were doing it. Erik took a bunch of notes asking question as they talked. Once they were done, he thought they had enough to start on. Then he asked uncle Geoff what time he was heading out tomorrow.

Geoff smiled, "I think I'll go sometime after lunch; I'd like to see what happens when we first go out to start looking at things. This way we might be able to change some things around if needed."

Erik nodded once more, then looked up to ceiling and the ones that knew him smiled to their selves. "I think, for tomorrow at least, I'll stay here and we'll use this room as base for people to check in at if there's any major problems. According to Nicholas, there shouldn't be, but I'm too used to Mr. Murphy sticking his damn nose in where it doesn't belong."

All the humans and a few of the Lyonness laughed as they knew what the reference meant. Then they told the others what he meant and just what Murphy's Law was. They others grinned as they found out what it meant.

Erik drank off his coffee, then said, "Alright, let's get the new people settled into quarters first off. Nicholas, are we going out to get dinner or do like last night?"

Nicholas nodded, "I figured we take you all to another local place, this way you can see more of what's around this area."

Erik smiled, "That's a good idea, I really don't want to keep bothering you every time we turn around. I'm sure we're holding you up from some of your normal work." Then he laughed, "Or since it's the weekend, you'd rather be off doing something else than babysitting us."

Nicholas grinned, "Not really, this has been planned for a while, so I scheduled things around it."

Everyone laughed and Erik told them what time they'd meet. Then Nicholas had a couple of his people show the rest to their rooms. Erik and Tony walked together back to their rooms and once there, Tony asked him. "Yo, man. Is everything okay bro? You seemed kind of distracted before."

Erik looked at him, looked around and rocked his hand back and forth. "You got a few minutes? I've got coffee from home."

Tony looked at him and nodded, "Sure why not, I could go for a coffee."

Erik let them in to his room and made a couple cups. Tony smiled, "I should have done the same, but all I brought was a bag. I didn't think they'd have this type of coffee maker."
