No idea about how long there? Strictly as a reader, it is frustrating not to have a frame of reference for "how long" the woman has been there. Graduation from college, one assumes? But is it college in Japan? If she is 22 now that would make it how long? I will have to work on the problem. A little more insight as to the heroine's thoughts would also be helpful, other than what are her general responses. I hope the story doesn't go down the road of happy slavery but a just outcome.
