Having 'built us up' so well in the first two pages, the third came as a disappointing let-down - shame!

I also wish it ended better with Jared but thanks for sharing either way!

Just a note to all. It seems that some readers don’t realize when they are reading a chapter of a story or one part of a multipart story. All the comments for this chapter seem to imply that it’s the last chapter but it’s not. For example this is Chapter 3 of a 7 chapter series. Even more, the story continues in an entirely different series. It pays to check out each author’s profile. That’s where you can find all their published stories.
