Life after the Lottery Ch. 70

Sherri and Brenda worked quickly to stage the waitresses taking orders and serving. I shot some individual shots of each waitress. Then we staged some where other ladies were standing at other tables in the background. We had a lot of fun, and the young girls were great. After we finished and packed up, we treated Sherri and Brenda to a nice lunch.

"We have worked hard this week," Brenda said.

"You two did a good job."

"When will you have proofs ready?" Sherri asked.

"I hope by Wednesday. I'll drop off all the film in the morning."

"What about the shots in the limo Saturday night?" Brenda asked.

"I'll drop them off Monday morning. I think we can decide on which ones to use quickly, and I can make prints next week. I have 12 women to shoot this coming week for another project."

"You are going to be worn out," Brenda said.

"It is going to be a long month. I will need you two to look over the proofs as soon as I get them made."

"Who are the other 12 women?" Sherri asked.

"Strippers from a local club."

"Will they all be nudes?"

"Some will, some won't. I will get the proofs ready, and you two come and pick the ones you want printed. I'll be working at the house all week and next."

I was up late Friday, unloading cameras and getting the film organized to be processed.

I was waiting on Bob when he unlocked the camera store Saturday morning.

"Hey, Bob. I have a shitload of film to be processed."

"Okay. They will be making drop-offs about 9:00. It will be back Monday."

"Good. I am really busy. I shot photos all week for the new store, and I will be shooting women all this week."

"Sucks, to be you!" We laughed.

"Can you tell them to proof all the film and still get it back Monday morning?"

"Maybe Monday afternoon. I'll ask them to rush it."

"Good, that will save me having to do it."

"Who are you shooting this week?"

"All the ladies that work at the high-end strip club."

"Need help?"

"You can look at the proofs! Most of these will be shot on the 8 X 10 camera."

"Great!"

"I hope to get you all the film by Thursday. How long will it take them to process and proof?"

"How bad do you need them?"

"Very badly."

"I know the owner. If you will pay for the overtime, he will process and proof all of them by Saturday morning. They do overnight runs for the ad agencies."

"I will need to have the club owner pick the prints as soon as he can. Tell the owner I will cover overtime if they can stay and work late."

"I will do it. I'm sure some copies of the prints would go a long way."

"Whatever it takes. I have something else I need to talk to you about, Bob. I need about a dozen film backs for my medium format camera. Can I rent them too from Atlanta?"

"Sure. What are you shooting?"

"The two nights before Valentine's Day, I am shooting a fashion show?"

"Where?"

"In town."

"For who?"

"Can't tell you that. There is a new store opening, and it is all a big secret."

"I will call and have a dozen of them shipped here," he said.

"Thanks. What are you doing the nights of February 12th and 13th?"

"Nothing, I guess."

"You want to be my assistant? I need someone to load film and swap backs for me."

"At this fashion show?"

"Yes."

"I would be glad to help. How much film are you going to need?"

"I don't know yet."

"Find out soon so I can order all of it from the same batch."

"I am sure it will be several hundred rolls."

"Let me know soon."

I left and headed toward the house and called Linda.

"Hey, James."

"Are you still in Hawaii?"

"Yes, we are eating breakfast."

"I have a question. For the fashion show, do you know how many models will be walking the runway each night?"

"I will have to get with Brenda and Sherri?"

"Let me know as soon as you can. I need to order film, and I have to figure out how much."

"Okay. We are coming back tomorrow. I will talk to them early next week."

"Okay. I have done all the other photos for them. I have to shoot some strippers next week." Linda laughed.

"Is everything ready with the limo business?" She asked.

"All the vehicles are being delivered late this week."

"You should get the local news channels to do some press on that," she said.

"I'll try."

"We will be home Sunday night."

"How did it go with the state?"

"Oh, the lawyers have convinced them they are overstepping their bounds. They said to sue them. They changed their mind when we said we would, all the way to the Supreme Court."

"Are you going to build a resort then?"

"More than likely. Lieke and her family are happy."

"I am sure they are. You and Rachel, be careful when you get back."

"I'm not going to let this asshole disrupted my life."

"Just be careful. He is a bad actor."

"We will."
