"All the incestuous relationships are between adults; thus, we fall back on our basic thesis that consenting adults can do whatever they want about sex. We add relationships to that list as well."

Beth said, "Thank you."

Amy asked after a pause, "Neither the TV show or the book indicate required steps to join the Circle; what are they?"

Dave shrugged. "In a way, there aren't any that are prescribed. We fall back on our discussion of intimacy. If you want to join up with our Circle, then what you're saying is that you want this group and the precepts that we believe -- you want this Circle of friends and lovers to be YOUR friends and lovers, and you buy into the things we hold important, the things that Cricket wrote about in her book about the Circle.

"Thus, you'd better know just about all of us before you decide ... and you should understand the way we think -- our values and how we make decisions about relationships especially. We create lots of social situations so that anybody that is interested can do that. They may or may not want to engage in sex during those situations or during that trial period, but everyone that I know of wants that as part of the development process. I think all of us are hypersexual.

"As far as understanding how we think, we have a class we call Circle 101. Now, it's based on Cricket's book, but still it's a slightly structured rap session mostly about our beliefs and values -- how we think. So, my answer to people interested in us is to just hang out and join in our rap sessions. After that, I say that people self-select; they continue to want in, or they opt out and drift away."

Kaylee was dark skinned but lightly toned, and Dave guessed she belonged to some ethnic group other than Caucasian. He didn't know her maiden name, so had no hint to her background. One thing, though, she was beautiful in every dimension of her body and apparently her soul as she exuded spiritual connections to everyone around her.

Kaylee asked, "You raised diversity as a potential interest, but didn't comment on how the Circle had dealt with that. We have no model to pattern ourselves after."

Dave nodded, "I like to say we have one of everything, but that's obviously not true. We are mostly Caucasian. May I ask your background?"

Kaylee gave a beautiful smile where her white teeth sparkled behind her brown skin. "I'm a Heinz 57. My grandparents were Hawaiian, Mongoloid, Arab, and Latin American. You can see they all tended to light brown complexions; thus, you get me."

Dave teased, "Well, if you want to hang out around here, we sure welcome the diversity. I think that's our overall philosophy. Only a few people of the dominate ethnic groups in the country knew about the Circle until the TV show and book. Thus, they were not drawn to us except by having friends or associates or relatives of some kind in the group. We have not excluded anybody that wanted in, nor do we plan to do that."

"Aren't you getting requests like ours because of the TV show?"

"Kind of. We get a pretty large volume of fan mail, if you will. It tends to split between those that hate us and think we're the devils playground, and those that love us. Many want to join us. Only a few ask for guidance about how to create such a group. None of that identified their ethnicity."

Dave added, "I'm sure the issue of diversity was put on the issue list because of the potential for some people in your group to have issues with one race or another. In that courting process when people are hanging out learning about us, we're also learning about them. If someone had an issue with any of our pledges, I expect we'd hear about it in some way. That's never come up in discussion, and we have several of the major groups here, plus a few outliers from Asia and direct from Africa."

Ariana asked, "What are your rules of behavior? I could impute a few from reading the book and see the TV show, but I'd love to hear your answer."

Dave said, "Well, no means no. Don't even think about doing something that might bring an STD into our midst. Be civil to everybody. Don't harbor grudges or jealousies; deal with them or get help. Adapt as we admit new members. Look for opportunities to love and help each other. Socialize. Be willing to be both an exhibitionist and a voyeur, at least most of the time. Last, I guess I'd say keep loosening up and love each other."

Roy laughed, "That's how all this started -- Dave and his wife Alice loosening up."

The guests laughed Kaylee said, "Yes, Cricket wrote about that in the book. Alice caught her friend fucking a guy in his car and was shocked. She then learned how the world around her really worked."

Dave chuckled, "That about sums it up, except I was along for the ride along with a few others."

The mention of a few others made Dave think how Dori and even Ty had given challenges to the others that would help them loosen up. The others were Sean and Kat, and Dev and Wendy.

He thought Dev and Wendy. Where are they? Are they doing all right? Did Dev get out of the hospital yet? His mind ran through a hundred questions that he knew he'd never get answered. He wondered whether there were still clues that Dev and Wendy had existed in the Circle.

The Circle was endangered because of what might happen if the cartels traced Dev to them. Had Dev thought of that and weighed the damage that a couple of billion dollars in cocaine and heroin would do to society? Should the Circle take additional security measures? He was starting to think that they should.

"Dave? Dave? Dave, are you with us?"

He responded, "Oh, sorry. I just had some thoughts about a private issue that a few words triggered. Not to worry."

Roy said to the visitors, "Please join us as our cocktail hour started about ten minutes ago. The bar is open. We'd like you all to stay for dinner and our dancing afterwards. We suggest that you split up with one or two of you at the various dinner tables so a cross-section of you will get to meet a cross-section of us."

The group stood, as Roy, Dave, and Felicity led them to the bar. Felicity was instantly the focus of attention as they walked, especially to guests Seth and Oliver. Seth couldn't believe it when she took his arm and held it to her bare breasts as they walked.

Because of the advanced publicity about the group visiting that night, the visitors were instantly absorbed into the throng of Circle members.

Dave wasn't tending bar that night. Bridget suddenly appeared in front of him, nearly naked and wearing only a gossamer thong. She presented him with his wine cooler -- a glass of ice then filled with Chardonnay wine. They exchanged a kiss.

As she turned to walk away, her tight bubble butt nearly on total display, Colin drooled slightly and said to Dave, "Who is THAT? Wow! She's hotter than the surface of the sun."

Dave laughed, "That is my niece."

"Holy ... WAIT! You indicated you had an incestuous relationship with you niece? Is that her? You lucky dog."

Dave teased, "Well, the four women you showed up with aren't exactly dogs -- far from it in my book. How long have you and Beth been an event?"

Seth chuckled, "We met when we were both Freshman up in Gainesville. We were an event from then on. We've taught each other a lot, including what love is all about."

"How about you and the others in your group?"

"Kaylee was Beth's roommate. Amy roomed next door with Amber, one of the women that couldn't be here tonight. It didn't take long for the eight of us to become a clique that lasted through college. We picked up the others when we all moved into a flop house over on Fourth Street. We all had introductory jobs and barely any money. A few had and even still have crushing student loans."

Just then, a hot blonde, also wearing next to nothing turned Dave and gave him a knock-your-socks-off kiss.

As they parted, she hugged his arm to her breasts and looked at Seth and Oliver, who'd just re-joined his buddy.

Dave did introductions as the men nearly keeled over as how casual things were with this caliber of people in the Circle. "This is my wife Scarlett. Scarlett these two hot guys are Noah and Oliver. Felicity already has her talons in Seth for later tonight, but Oliver is available. Of course, you guys could always swap around."

Scarlett grinned broadly, "Oh, I like the way you think."

Start up groups looking for mentoring?

With the recent incident involving Dev I would be leery of strangers. Wouldn't a good background check be prudent before inviting strangers into your midst? Another well written interesting segment. I'm sure at some point the Circle will need their own zip code =)
