I didn't ruin anything. Gail was written as a sadistic bitch on purpose and gets her comeuppance in the end. It's a pretty dark story through and through but the good guys eventually come out on top and there are happy endings galore. It's okay if you don't like it as it does get a bit extreme, but the story plays out exactly the way I wanted to, the good and the bad.
