A know-it-all dude well versed in self defense and white knighting all over the place... c'mon! He has an almost clinical explanation about everything. It's boring, over the top, and borderline obnoxious. I stopped after he turned French kissing into science. I'm a fan of both, but good god that is the least sexy way to go about it. I can't with this male protagonist.

And let's not forget the source of tension, the would-be incestuous cousin who, at his parents' house during a family party in a pool full of children, attacks with a knife the guy he feels emotionally threatened by. C'MON. This is ridiculous.
