Joe's funeral was well attended. There was an open casket. He had no family but there were close to two hundred people at the service, ninety-five percent of them were ladies from their early twenties to their eighties. They spilled out into the hall waiting to walk past his body and touch his hand. Many spoke of him and when they spoke, the rest would nod their heads in agreement.
One young man who never knew Joe came to the service. As Billy walked by Joe's body, he only said two words, "Thank You."
