Enjoyable stuff. I particularly liked that the unpleasantness of punishing the slaves served the story, and wasn't just simple brutality.
Thank you. I'm trying to make my 'heroin' a little more nuanced, even though she's most of the way to a sociopath. With mixed success, better perhaps in some chapters than others :)
Sometimes being a sociopath is really just the ability to seperate the professional from the personal, like a cop or a paramedic "switching off" when they attend a truly awful situation. It can take a little time to, hmm... restore all functions let's say. That's my experience anyway.
