My namesake might be showing here but I think sealing her in a latex/rubber suit might be an easy solution both to keep Mary protected from the sun and outside world as well as to allow her to be groped and touched by others. Another possible idea would be that the drugs they are giving Mary which are causing her increased milk production, weight gain, and libido, as well as protecting her from cart related joint and bone pain, may also be giving her milk an aphrodisiac and mood enhancing quality.

The doctor would have assumed her milk production and body growth would stabilize at reversible levels once Mary was in operation, however the specific qualities of her milk paired with her “incentives” to sell it are causing her to grow more than may be possible to return to a reasonably normal size. The doctor explains this to Mary as well as reducing her drug intake and dampening her reward system to try and reduce her incentive to sell her milk.
