What is Austin doing there? Did he lie to Tyler about going home?

I think Austin was supposed to be back home (CA) well before Ryan returned back east, so it makes sense. Hopefully Ryan can put a little more pressure lovingly on Austin for Ty to share his mom’s health issues as a brother and a doctor to allay any inappropriate reasons for him to travel. Austin has always as far as I can remember protected and been honest with and loved Tyler. So an affair just isn’t congruent and too much work to do back east. Like I mentioned earlier, do Austin’s folks even know he is in a same sex romantic relationship?
