Besides my writer's block, my ticker started acting up a few years back and after way too many trips to the doctor they figured it out and prescribed meds to help with it. I enjoy the fantasy of sibling attraction, and additionally bringing the “best friend” into the plot is definitely a way to stir things up, but going into “parental territory” is really “a bridge too far” (figuratively AND literally).

There’s enough material here, with Eva, Amber, and Dale, for several more stories without crossing the line into Oedipus complexes. Where do they go from here? What happens after Dale graduates? Do the three of them get their own place? Do Dale and Amber ever actually get married? Are Eva and Amber able to avoid jealousy issues? The possibilities are intriguing. I applaud the author who explores them without resorting to cliched (and creepy) plot twists.
