Not much to the story,

but what there is

provides an interesting glimpse backward in time.

When I was just a kid -- way too young to drive --

(I'm 72 now)

my Dad looked at a used Packard with a straight 8.

I could tell he was impressed with a Packard.

He didn't buy it.

Funny/strange/interesting how a snapshot of a mundane incident has stuck with me for over half century.
