Mile has won Kiran over; he could become a lifesaving allie in the future. Symond musing that he has one of the Domarc brothers who rules him and one brother whom he rules made me smile. I think he has the brothers switched around but just hasn’t realized it yet! That isn’t to say that King Allius isn’t ruthless and shows an eagerness for violence against Mile. This chapter will get lower ratings by some just because there isn’t any overt sex, but is an important part of the story arc and character development. Well done! Mile’s brother is cunning and vicious. He obviously hates Miles. Symond has a fine line he must walk.

Don't know why but somehow, I missed this chapter and only noticed when #8 came out. This is a very interesting situation. Reading Kiran's POV makes it seem like Allius may have even more rebellion on his hands than his father did. I wonder if Kiran will end up helping Mile and also joining the rebels.
