Why do writers...presumably male...persist with the fallacy that taking a girl's virginity has to be a painful rite of passage...it doesn't! What it demonstrates is that this author, and others, don't know as much about sex as they think they do. It is why sex is often portrayed as being mechanical and 'painting by numbers'.
But as the title of this comment suggests, for all that is was quite well thought out: albeit predictable!
I wonder how I "wood" do, embarrassed at least in the begining. Does something like this happen outside of a story?
