Look, you can write what you wish. I begrudge no one that. And there's generally an audience for most anything. So write TG if you wish. But there's no way there would be a TG mafioso. It would require secrecy even the feds couldnt pull off. When those wiseguys found out, the TG would be saying to Luca Brasi. Probably after he or she woke up beside the horse's head...inserted into his/her rectum. Sorry, right or wrong, like it or not, La Cosa Nostra is not very woke. Just saying.

You may be right about that. Even somewhere in the not too distant future where this story takes place it could still be that the Russian mafia is unwelcoming to trans people. Not sure about any of the other mafia organizations though.

Still, this is a work of fiction, after all...
