"Yes, that's why I regret it more; if only I hadn't taken that fruit from you, only then you would have gotten this mythical Physique."

"Don't feel sad, brother, we each have our Destiny."

"No, brother, after surviving that night, I have stopped believing in Destiny; the day I become Immortal, I will prove to Heaven that Han Wu is not bound by Destiny— I am not a puppet of my fate or any other deity."

"Brother, I appreciate your bravery, but before we resume marching on our path of Cultivation, let me translate this thing completely; there might be something that could be useful for us!"

"Yeah, what else does it say?"

"After achieving a Real-Life Body, now you will need to find a proper Cultivation method, a method that suits your very being."

"Now what does that mean, Bao?"

"I don't know, brother, but that's all it says."

"What else is there?"

"There is nothing else, it just ends like that."

"What about the blue Qilin statue? I don't feel any kind of spiritual energy coming out of it. I mean I don't think the Qian Emperor would hide a normal Qilin statue with information this important, right?"

"I know, brother, but all I can say is it's just a normal stone statue. I just don't understand why the Qian Emperor placed this statue there with that painting."

After that, both Han Duo again started to march on their path of Cultivation, and it was less than a thousand years, when suddenly one night, the sky turned dark, and blue lightning crackled across the sky.

The appearance of Heavenly Calamity was a clear indication of someone trying to ascend to Immortality. This was a shocking event; in the past ten thousand years, there had been not a single Immortal, and then, not just one but two men were about to achieve a breakthrough.

The thunder became dire and started to strike the Han Duo. Han Wu knew he was the weakest of the two, so he clenched his teeth and with iron-clad resolve, faced the Calamity, and was about to break the barrier, when he noticed something that shocked him to his very being. His younger brother, Bao, wasn't faring well against the Calamity, and was at the brink of death.

He knew what he was seeing shouldn't be happening, but at the same time, he also knew this was the reality— while he was about to become an Immortal, his brother was at the brink of death!

With a loud, cracking sound, a huge flash of lightning appeared and was about to strike Bao. Han Wu knew he had to act quickly. Without wasting any time, he threw a Talisman that he had prepared for himself, just in case things went south.

When the Talisman touched Bao, it released a bright light, and before the blue lightning flash could hurt Bao, the Talisman had already teleported him away.

Of course, it was not easy to escape the Calamity, so he wasn't teleported into any other corner of the world, but instead, he was teleported onto another world in another realm.

When Han Wu was experimenting with Talisman, he was accidentally teleported to this strange world. At first, he was scared of the Law of the Nine Realms being triggered, but no such thing happened; there was no red cloud or crimson lightning.

Later, Bao was able to theorize that since both of them have the Real-Life Yin and Yang Essence within their bodies, they were immune to the Law of the Nine Realms. After that, they again conducted multiple experiments to confirm this theory.

This again just boosted their journey since, then, they were able to gather resources from other worlds and other realms, as well!

At first, Han Wu was scared when he descended to the world, where he had teleported Bao, since until then, they were Mortal while roaming across the Lower Realms. But he had become an Immortal. After his descent, nothing happened; again, there were no red clouds or crimson lightning.

He quickly found Bao and healed him. Once he was sure Bao was healed, he decided to take him back to the Martial World, but Bao declined his offer.

"But why, Bao? Why don't you want to go back to our world? This world doesn't have much Spiritual Energy, and humans of this world are still primitive; what will you do by staying here?"

"Don't you remember, brother, what I always say— we both have our Destiny and this is my destiny, the fate has chosen a different path for me."

"What nonsense are you talking, Bao? You want to stay here, live a life of mortal, and then what? Die one day?"

"If that is my fate, then so be it."

"Those are words of cowards, Bao. Come on, come with me. Now, since I have become an Immortal, it wouldn't be hard for you to achieve Immortality."

"Brother, as I said, you go. I will stay here. There are things that I must do! I have to do it! This is my destiny and I cannot deny it."

"Bao why...?" With that, Han Wu took a step forward, but Bao took a step back. "What is it, Bao?"

"Because that is fate, I will never be able to ascend to Immortality ever!"

"What? Nonsense. I will gather all the resources and within a few years, you will be at the peak of your cultivation again."

"Brother, please that's not what I want, and if you want to do something for me, then there is one thing that I want from you."

"What is it that you want, Bao? I promise you whatever you want I will give it to you..."

...

To keep his promise after breaking through to the Immortal Emperor stage, he descended to the very world where he had last bid his goodbye to Bao. He knew Bao had gone from this world a long time ago, but he had come here to fulfill the promise.

He arrived at the place where Bao had asked him to be, and had disguised himself as an old man to avoid suspicion. He wasn't sure where he would be able to find the young man that Bao had mentioned to him, but then suddenly, someone took hold of his hand.

He was surprised by a stranger touching him, but when he looked at the person, he realized this was the young man Bao had mentioned him meeting.

"Let me help you, old man." With that, the young man started to cross the road, pulling the disguised Han Wu with him.

"You know, old people like you shouldn't come out of their houses, I mean this world just sucks."

Han Wu was just shocked to meet a man in a world of selfishness and greed; of course, the young man's behavior was rude, but it seemed like he had a pure heart which just made it hard for him to do what he had promised to do.

He was supposed to imbue the body of this young man with his Real-Life Yang Essence because he had promised to Bao to do so; of course, he had asked Bao why. After all, it was one thing to bless a Cultivator with the Real-Life Yang Essence, but why Bao wanted him to give his Yang Essence to this normal human didn't make any sense to him.

Since the body of the young man had no spiritual roots, which meant it would be impossible for the young man to become a Cultivator; not only that, but since he wasn't a Cultivator, his body wouldn't be able to tolerate the immense potency of his Real-Life Yang Essence, and he would burst like a firecracker.

A mortal's life was already short, and by giving him his Real-Life Yang Essence, he would be killing him off; not only that, once he gave up his Yang Real-Life Essence, he wouldn't be able to travel across the Realms because without the Real-Life Essence within his body, it would trigger the Law of The Nine Realms.

So, giving this young man his Yang Real-Life Essence would curb his ability to cross-realm travel, and not only that, it would also end the life of this young man. But then on the other hand, he had a promise to keep...

Since he was so much lost in the internal struggle, he hadn't paid any attention to his surroundings, which was why he didn't stop at the divider, but the young man was quick to pull him back.

After that, what followed was a conversation that made the young man declare his liking for 'sex and video games.'

After living such a long life, Immortal Emperor Han Wu was well aware of what 'sex' was, but he wasn't aware of the 'video games' which was why he immediately looked inside the mind of the truck driver, who was about to run over him, to find out what this video game was.

Since his act would just end the young man's life, he decided to be a bit generous with the young man and to bless the young man by letting him enjoy a few days of his life by turning his life into these two words 'sex' and 'video games'.

But before doing so, before fulfilling the promise he had made to Bao, there was one thing he had to do; he had to fulfill a promise that he had made to himself.

This is why he was here in Martial World, on the ninth peak of the Nine Thousand Mountains range.

When one attained Immortality, he became a Cosmic Scale being, a being who could manipulate space and time in the lower realms at their will, which was why the Law of The Nine Realms existed, to protect those who were weak by preventing these powerful beings from entering the lower realms.

But Han Wu could bypass this law; he could freely use his powers which was why he had been standing at this peak for half a day, looking at what once used to be his family home, and mourning the loss while; at the same time, he was standing at the divider with the young man!

He was bending the laws of space, time, and the very law of the Nine Realms, itself, but at that time, he didn't care since he was very well aware that this would be his last visit to his home.

With a heavy sigh, Han Wu broke out of his musing, and, again, his eyes caught the sight of the symbol which meant 'Destiny'.

He felt bad for Little Bao, he felt bad for the young man.

Again, he released a deep sigh.

'I guess that's their Destiny!'

He had made two promises in his lifetime, and he would fulfill the one he had made with Bao, when he would imbued the young boy with his Real-Life Yang Essence, but before that, it was time for him to fulfill the first promise— a promise that he had made to himself.

A golden light was emitted by his body and, suddenly, his appearance changed; gone was the old man who appeared to be in his eighties, right then, he appeared like a man in his thirties.

He had donned a bright golden armor, and was standing at a height of nearly seven feet tall, his eyes had bright golden eyelashes, while a thick mane of bright golden hair was reaching his shoulders.

His feet left the ground and he started to float toward the sky, while at the same time, the golden light that was emitted by his body kept increasing. He appeared like a Sun God that covered the entire night sky of the Martial World with his aura and the entire night was turned into a bright sunny day.

The entire world was witnessing this unprecedented event; some of those who were seeing this Godly being, had lived for thousands of years, and in their entire life, they had never seen a powerful being like this!

The light and the aura of this deity-like creature were extremely suppressing for the creature of the entire Wu Continent, but those who suffered the most were the ones living in the Nine Thousand Mountains.

Han Wu cast a gaze toward the Nine Thousand Mountains, and then waved one of his fingers. Like a human crushing a paper cup, the entire Nine Thousand Mountains range was crushed under the power of that single wave of his finger.

The loud sound of this mighty mountain range being turned into plain ground echoed across the region while the shock waves could be felt across the continents!

"DEBT OF YOUR FOREFATHERS HAS BEEN PAID..."

...

With those parting words, Han Wu returned to the world where he was still standing at the divider with the young man holding his hand.

Han Wu was already aware of the benefit that the Real-Life Essence could provide to a Cultivator, but he was also well aware of the way it could harm a normal human being.

While just a moment ago, he had destroyed a multitude of creatures in the name of revenge, he didn't feel it right to just harm this young man. He wasn't sure why he was feeling like that; after all, this young man was just a mortal— what was the big deal? But, then he realized the reason, while the responsibility of destroying the Nine Thousand Mountains was on his shoulders— the fall of this young man would be on Bao's shoulders since he was the one who Han Wu had asked to look out for.

Here he was, a mere tool; he knew he could just choose not to keep his promise to Bao, but he couldn't do that.

It was a dilemma for the Immortal Emperor, and that was why he had decided to do what he was about to do.

First, he summoned a Jade Lotus, this was an Immortal Grade treasure. This lotus was born in an Extreme Yin Pond, which gave it Extreme Yin in nature; the Yin element within the Jade Lotus was so strong that it could hold Samadhi Fire for a time being, so he knew the lotus would be a perfect cauldron to hold his Real-Life Yang Essence within this young man's body.

Of course, he knew the intensity of Real-Life Yang Essence was far more than Samadhi Fire, but it would extend the life of the young man by a few days, which he guessed would be enough to fulfill the young man's wish.

Since the Jade Lotus was extreme Yin in nature, it was also a useful tool to cast an illusion and first, that was what he did.

He created an illusion of the 'Sex based Videogame' and placed the young man under it, while at the same time, using the Jade Lotus as the base. So the Jade Lotus would keep the illusion going, and once the Jade Lotus ran out of its spiritual energy, the illusion would be gone, and not only that, the Real-Life Yang Essence would run rampant and blow the young man's body up.

Han Wu released another sigh, while imagining a gruesome scenario, but then again, the word on the stone appeared before him— 'Destiny'.

'It's Destiny, it's the young man's Destiny.'

...

"Yes, it is realistic!"

After crossing the road, Han Wu uttered those last words and then summoned his Real-Life Yang Essence out of his body, the Bright Golden Essence immediately took the shape of the white peach-like fruit and he placed the fruit within the Jade Lotus.

The Jade Lotus had seven petals, and immediately one petal fell off, just by putting the Real-Life Yang fruit which was surprising for him.

The Jade Lotus was the highest grade immortal treasure and if used to cast a normal illusion in lower realms, the illusion would last for thousands of years, but the extreme nature of the Real-Life Yang fruit was quickly destroying it and if that wasn't enough, since the young man was a normal human, the illusion would also consume the energy from the Jade Lotus, so the more the young man believed in his illusion the faster he would reach his end.

'Destiny...'

Repeating that word-like mantra, he bid his forever goodbye to the lower realms, marking the end of his last trip to the worlds of lower realms.

In his small trip to the lower realm, he had taken two actions to fulfill the two different promises— one action changed the geography and history of the Martial World, while the other one would change the very fate of the Nine Realms...

So many concepts and terms that are undefined, I really struggled trying to figure out what was going on. Also, the background story seems to have overtaken the main storyline...

Thanks for your comment...

I don't know what gave you the idea of him being dead but trust me he is very much alive, and there is this thing called 'Real-Life' so system being an Illusion wouldn't be an issue... I could explain it to you here but that will spoil everything.

Also the story will have atleast 100+ chapters so don't worry he wouldn't be dying anytime soon, and even if he dies this is a genre were death is not an issue...

Hope you understand...

Wtf was that ending. Like come on what we’re you thinking. Let me end it by killing him and telling us it was all a lie. However it was a well written ending as much as I don’t like it.
