I twisted over and dove into the water. I swam down for the light. I scissored my legs. The dull boom of the waves hitting the reef. I quivered in delight as I kicked lower and lower. I felt the pressure on my ears. I went deeper and deeper.
I had to breathe.
I was so close to the hole. I thrust out my hand and reached into the light. Warmth engulfed me. A tingle raced through my body.
Then a hand grabbed my wrist and yanked me into the light.
