You had me until he chose Alex over Kyler. Alex was obnoxious and had no redeeming qualities, and he clearly seemed into Kyler more.

I have to disagree with anonymous. I think Josiah is a little afraid of his attraction to Kyler, he chickened out and picked Alex because it was safer. Wonderful start to a story
