Trying to write like a Chicago accent is a big mistake. Too hard to read. this is a 2 at best.

Yes, yes, for sure….I had been told in the early stages of writing this that the accent was distracting in the story. I have a romantic relationship with accents, speech and colloquialisms in literature. I guess my objective is to share the love I feel for these things with any readers that come along. I appreciate anybody who reads them from the bottom of my heart.
