Beautifully orchestrated. I could see where it was going early, but you drew it out nicely, raising the fever temperature of Kaitlyn and her mother in a way that the shared erotic resonance between them yearned to merge. Given the ritual pattern, a more demented mind might have taken the story down a dark satanic path, but you gave us the gift of a deeply passionate Orphic or Dionysion sacrifice of the mother and daughter each unto and into the other in the rich and profoundly resonant field of Eros, the source of life and being.
