Wow! While this was an all too quick read (and I wish it was longer), I rated it an easy 6. Or maybe a 5. My eyes were crossed when I reached critical mass. Pheww...

Outstanding first story here. I can't wait for more. It'll probably be a few days before all that snow melts and the power is restored. I expect there was more action in the morning. Can't wait to read about it.

A delightful little read. I look forward to seeing where this might go. Perhaps a little rushed on the build-up, and you may want a second look on the dialogue to help it feel a little more natural, but otherwise an excellent start!
