So many stories end without any real ending. Teasing the readers with this story line and not having any ending is very frustrating. We need to see how Annie is treated as she is held captive and ready for Sir Malcolm, whoever he is. This last chapter was the best as it gives some insights to what Annie has gone through and what may await her. We still need to find out why she was kidnapped and made to suffer. The details of the countryside or the watchtower, or the citadel gets in the way of the concept of the story. More please and at least tell the readers that you plan to finish the story even if it takes a longer time.
