My wife and I have been to this club, too. Your description was very exact and leaves little doubt as to the identification of the place. I like the story, partially because I couldn't help but wonder if we'd met there. Please write more!

Regardless of the writing quality or the story, this is in fact a real club, and the town is Cashtown, historic as Genl R.E. Lee passed through the town on his way to Gettysburg. (it is a scene in the movie Gettysburg). As one other commenter noted, the club description, exception, except there is no gate, is pretty accurate.
