Was really good till the end. Last little bit killed it for me. You had a character that went with the flow the entire story. Then you have him go off at a single word. Just didn't work for me. Hopefully next chapter will be more consistent.

Whats next

I like ur story and the end is very consistent. Pls follow through and let him/her leave the traitorous maybe girlfriend. She have to bear the consequences of her actions and should pay the price of emotional pain. The main character can find work consistent with his changes and get another happy end without the snakes who tricked him and abused his trust.
