Sure he deserved payback but not allowing the reader a window on his pain and feelings of injustice and humilitation made him seem empty, dispassionate and calculating, I'd go so far as to say sociopathic in his retribution. It was more like reading about a villain than a wronged protagonist. It was impossible to empathise with him.

networkgurualmost 7 years agoWhile I usually like an imaginative tale of revenge this one just didn't sit right with me. I'm not a fan of blackmail plus the way the story is written it was really hard to root for Jim.
aptonthe503over 9 years agoWell developed, but some parts were a bit unrealistic. Still, I liked your characters the plot and subtle revenge. Would actually have liked to see some fallout and see that some of it land on Brian.

DWornockalmost 13 years agoThe author continued to invent excuses for things Jerri would never allow. Maybe 2 or 3 I could accept, but the impossible events kept. It was bad enough to think they Jerri would allow him to break into her bathroom without having a screaming fit. She would never allow him to freely come and go into her room. No way no how would that happen.
The author can write well, but needs to modify the story so that it could be possible.
