You need a proof reader. Changes tense between past and present multiple times, which makes it very difficult to read.

Such a quick, fun read! I always enjoyed the shorter works!

There are editing issues. These, however, were not damning in my opinion. Remember them as reminders and lessons, but don’t sweat them too much in this story.

I think what worked was the concept, and fast paced nature, and the descriptions.
