Another great story! And despite what others may say, I really enjoyed the unconventional use of quotation marks; it made the unquoted portions read like a narration, something that usually provides detail and suggests certain things to a reader that a quoted character doesn't always understand. It drove home the idea that the hypnotist controlled the scene and the subject was merely acting as his plaything in a story he already knew the ending to.

The unconventional use of quotes was done deliberately to make it clear who was speaking at all times. Derek's lines are not quoted, Kimberly's are.
