Unholywoodover 2 years agoMixed feelings on this chapter - I don't greatly care for jumping to the histories of the antagonists, or at least with how it was structured. Since the story has generally been written from the POV of Ray, it feels like it throws out the flow. Why would he know about how Hank's dad's corruption, and why is he talking about it here? It would maybe be better in separate chapters where you are doing it from a different POV. It's OK to throw in hints of other characters as it makes sense that they were talking about them in front of them in front of the new victims as a form of intimidation, just the full diversions feel like they slow down the part of the story I care about.
It's a similar issue with the Reynold's women, they seem to distract from the story about the Tyler women. It doesn't feel like they added much by being there. I would have liked them to have much more interactions with the Tylers, or to not have them there at all. The role they played could have been done by other characters who have already been seen. It maybe feels better in a story like this to keep the number of people involved small because it generally needs a higher degree of secrecy to keep it grounded.
I'm not generally a fan of incest (mostly because too many writers try to make it something that people should be happy to engage in, I think you have the balance right between emotional horror and physical pleasure) and I feel like it went in to the incest a bit too quickly overall, especially since it also represented a first lesbian experience for both parties. I would have preferred if they had done something with the Reynolds twins. For example, if Suzy and Jaxy were both made to 'clean up' Emma and Kerri, and then made to kiss the other one without Emma and Kerri realising they had switched, so while they had still had the first lesbian experience, they wouldn't know that they had also tasted the cum of each other. It would set up the next 'poker night', and the mental torture of revealing that both women had tasted each other, especially if they are made to indulge in more lesbian activities in the interim. For me, this kind of story works better when the characters are broken down layer by layer.

So, you teased us with Janelle in part 1 and now Ellie and Joyce in part 2, have you considered writing more about them? All would make little spin off chapters, the Ellie one sounds the most interesting.
You leave us wondering what Hank has said to Emma then take a break from the story, we all want to know what was said!
