Surprised to see no comments considering the average rating so far below baseline...

It's not for me as the subject matter is kind of squick, so I won't be giving a rating. The writing in general is up to standards, the characters are recognizable, the situations are in line with the author's other works. I don't know where the low ratings are coming from unless the expectations of the subgenre are way different from any of those that I do follow more regularly.

@Shilton_Lineker: yeah, I would suspect a combination of not quite knowing and fulfilling the expectations of those who are really into this content area, crossed with some of my regular readers maybe not being so into it in general. It's not a topic I delve into particularly often and I will readily admit it generally falls into my 'more trouble than it's usually worth' category IRL, but one must push one's boundaries once in a while, so oh well. Though there were some reasons I wanted to get this 'lesson' in early...

@Anon - yeah, I know people are starting to get real antsy on that one. It is coming! I promise!

On the same note - chapter 3 of this series has just gotten submitted. It has taken... longer than I would have liked. But such is life sometimes. There will be something else coming shortly, and, yes, the aforementioned epilogue - as soon as I can manage it! Plus more chapters of this book, hopefully at a faster cadence than this one.
