"No, not forget about it, but, if you want, you can get even this weekend. I will give you a free pass to do anything with the other wives."

So her idea for him to get even was to do the exact thing she wanted him to do in the first place? She was just deceitful the entire way through. It kind of makes me feel that she should have started up again at the BBQ at the end. It would have been more in keeping with the character as written in the first half of the story.

The past is the past, even if it would have been preferable to inform it.

But I have a hard time with last summer's betrayal.

It was resolved too easily.

No consequences!!!

Other than moving out.

Doubtful!

demanderdemander4 months ago

Bottom line, though, she cheated and he let it go. Dunno about that. Maybe write the alternate version. And...thinking about it, he's probably happier this way. D

Very well thought out story, nice progression and completely believable. Nicely done. 5 stars.

The author surprised me. I was certain that it was going to come out that between the weekend Mary confessed to and the start of the story that there had been several other times the friends got together without Tom's knowledge.

Good job showing Mary was remorseful and willing to do what it took to safeguard her marriage.

Knowing Tom's concerns and realizing he was checking her texts it's a bit inconceivable that she didn't verbally discuss going to the lake house with him.

She lied by omission about her friends. And then she cheated. Big trust issues. Good story.

10 Big Blazing Stars. I think he could have #1) Divorced the cheating lying slut before having kids, as soon as he found out what a cheating lying slut she was. Remember they all had gone to the lake house the previous summer for one big constant orgy. There is NO Forgiveness for something like that. Of course, the best pussy is always the pussy with the most experience, So a whore is the best ass. His wife Mary, is right up there with them. So, fuck all the other wives, then call them all whores, and then leave the whore wife there and head home to start the divorce. #2) shoot them all and leave the Country. They conspired to help Mary Cheat. They all deserve to die. Thanks for the Effort. Thanks for requesting our opinion. Buster2U

Buster2UBuster2U4 months ago

This plot was almost as bad, and worse in some ways since these friends had been to his house many times, as finding out that your wife is secretly a whore, and has been a whore since before they were married and has continued to be one all this time. So why would hubby be upset? LOL The .44 mag Dirty Harry Smith and Wesson is the only Good Option for that kind of Deceit, cheating and lying! There is NO Fixing this, EVER! Buster2U

Great story with many valid points .In my mind I would have got over the history Mary concealed but I certainly wouldn’t have wanted her around those friends anymore if marriage was to continue. The nail in the coffin was that she cheated on her husband the previous summer and that’s hard to get over and as there were no kids at the time if it was me I would have walked.

crazycam69crazycam694 months ago

Hate the fact that there were no repercussions for the cheating. Especially when she tried the argument of “it was all before they met” when it actually wasn’t. Then having him give in to her advances (several times, no less) after this bomb was dropped on him made him a wimp. Should have had him leave her at the lake house and move out. Then have her fighting for his forgiveness. Then getting to the RAAC ending.

dragonmann72dragonmann724 months ago

I think it would have been a better story if he had flown out Sunday morning and had been sitting outside his in-laws house during the call not knowing if she was at the lake or inside. Mary would have known for sure 100% that he still had doubts. So much for being reactive instead of proactive.

Once a cheater always a cheater. I could see he could forgive her for the time before their marriage but not after lying about it being the only time. She said she was going to tell him that weekend but didn't and was unsure. But she seemed to be in pain from the guilt Did the group have a plan of seduction for him if he seemed to not want o go along? There was no burn the three bastards for having sex with his wife. Him moving away and breaking up their friendship wan't enough. Overall I loved it. Not allll LW stories end with the same ending. 5*****. Thanks.t

I can't say I liked it. Commenters seem split between Tom screwing everyone or doing what he did. How about deciding that staying in a childless marriage with a woman that cheated on him the past summer is not a good idea? The whole before-marriage sex could be unsettling, but should not be held against the wife. The after-being-married sex outside the marriage? I don't get why someone would stay with a spouse that not only confessed to her infidelity, but on the night the story opened, was plotting to open up their marriage on a regular basis if she could just convince her husband. That last part about her wanting to open things up that night was never really addressed in the story.

BehindbluisBehindbluis4 months ago

Nothing says you can't write another version of the same story doing just what you outlined. Version three could be that he just got up and left, no kids, nothing to split. After all, she kept it quiet from him and then cheated on him again AFTER they were married so it was about more than just what happened 7 or 8 years ago. Or you could open it up and let others write different versions. It may not reach February Sucks notoriety but there is still potential.

I really liked it , RG! Glad you went the direction you did! I think it made a better story.

MormonJackMormonJack4 months ago

Thank you for the story, RegGuy!

As long as you're asking for my thoughts, I'll share. One, there were 5 couples at the lake house, but it seemed to me that I counted as many as 8 guys (Tom, Stan, John, Rick, Steve, Brad and Phil). I'd be glad to proofread if you'd like - just let me know.

Second: wow... finding out your wife betryed you by resuming her participation in orgies is SIGNIFICANT. A spould doesn't just get over it with a night of sex. Especially when that guy is already upset that she was doing the orgies earlier. This was a huge inconsistency to me.

Third: I could see lying to the wife, screwing all the other wives, and saying sayonara to the wife the next day. That would match the anguish he must have felt with knowledge of her betrayal. BUT, like you, I see that as stooping to her level. It wouldn't be a hardship for Mary - wife to sit out one evening, all in the name of clearing away her guilt. Had he stooped to her level, she would know that she would be back playing orgy with her friends soon enough, with or without Tom. So... yeah: Tom made the right choice in this story.

HarleyRider1955HarleyRider19554 months ago

I liked it until the end. I believe she did keep her Sunday plans from her husband and DID have another orgy. The kids were left with the grandparents and alibis were formulated. I went through the cheating bitch marriage and stayed with her until the kids moved out. I never stopped watching her once I caught her cheating early in our 22 year marriage. So I knew she never stopped fucking around. Once a cheater always a cheater. Oh, and yes, I found out after the divorce, my daughter wasn’t biologically mine. When she found out, she stopped seeing me or talking with me. Maybe she looked up her sperm daddy.

If it were me, I would have insisted on permanent no contact with the entire group as the MINIMUM requirement to even consider reconciling. So there would have no reunion period, whether I went or not. 2*

Mary's right, tom's wrong. Mary's a slut, Tom's a cuck. Whoo-hoo!

bobareenobobareeno4 months ago

Her betrayal was treated as a hiccup by her husband. His willingness to let it slide was surprising. If he was pissed she screwed them all before he knew her, it was hard to accept he would be so easy going when he learned she had cheated with them all once they married. He didn’t do much digging into that episode, it was just raining and they were so high that he could accept it, plus she cried for two days. But even though she didn’t come clean, he still forgave her. His character was too strict about a past orgy, and too forgiving about the more recent one. I am in favor of the burning of her suggested int the note. It fit his initial expression of outrage.

Never a good thing when you have to move far away just to protect your wife's honor and your pride.

AnonymousAnonymous4 months ago

I think that the end was very good. Though having him do the other wives with his wife then the option to move to Atlanta and leave the friends works. Offsets the one time cheating without confessing and starts them fresh

AnonymousAnonymous4 months ago

Depends on the persons views on life about the townies. If he joined the swinging parties, he would be benefitting as well, not a one sided affair. So no guilt, but not everyone feels that way!

TwentysevenTwentyseven4 months ago

It's good they salvaged the marriage, but the trust is gone, isn't it? How much better if she'd had more strength of character.

servant111servant1114 months ago

Tough one there Skippy. She rather obviously has the morality of an alley cat and is a long demonstrated slut who has consciously betrayed him in the recent past. His decision to move them to Atlanta is specious as frankly she has shown that she is NOT trustworthy. Her past ready betrayal clearly shows that she has clear sociopathic traits and does not share his commitment to unwavering monogamy. He recognizes this and act’s innocent he role of her warden constantly living in the twilight world of imminent her betrayal once the townie conditions that trigger her lust reoccur. Their decision to continue this marriage on a precipice and even worse introduce small children into their “marriage” is even worse.

In short her compliance comes not from inside her but s a clear function of his careful maintenance of outside punishment boundaries that he must maintain through constant surveillance. She confirms that she knows this in her revelation of the email. In short this marriage is Toast! As a sociopath has repeatedly demonstrated her amoral core. She currently complies but will betray him when proper triggering circumstances occur in the future.

The sad part is his role as the warden who literally is forced to live of the edge of imminent and certain implosive disaster. This frankly defines Hell on Earth to my mind.

The author does a really good job of carrying the reader through a Dante like journey into the pit.

AnonymousAnonymous4 months ago

She cheated on him. I don't really like BTB stories but there has to be consequences for giving her body away to other men. Being drunk is no excuse, they're adults not high school kids.

AnonymousAnonymous4 months ago

I don't know if I will have a voice as an anonymous. But I prefer the Tom you gave us as opposed to the other one you considered. I feel like Tom had a valid concern regarding Mary's previous experiences with the others. He can't say much about their sex parties because he wasn't with Mary yet. That was prior to their meeting and marriage. But he does have a point about their conspiracy of silence as they made him the defacto odd man out whenever they were together. No one is comfortable being the "fungi" in the group! Being kept in the dark and fed bullsh!t as it were. One thing Tom had a big say in is the previous summer outing he was not able to attend. In that instance Mary did cheat on Tom and was good to do it again, read her own words: "...Last summer was a stupid, selfish, mistake. I should not have been partying that way without you. It is not an excuse, but I was drunk and very high. I swear I'll never do that again unless you're with me." So she admitted that she would be up with the drinking, getting high, and having sex with the other guys if Tom was with her.

And how was the group going to make things up to Tom? Let him sleep with the other wives? How many times? How many times had Rick, Steve, and Brad had sex with Mary? How many times would Tom have to have sex with each of the other wives to consider himself 'paid back' from the group? Does he screw Stan's wife? Probably not, Stan was a mushroom too! I think Tom's decision to move was the best one. He can't really get retribution sex for what Mary did with the group before he met and wed Mary. But he sure owed Rick for taking Mary to bed the previous summer. At that point Rick absolutely knew that Tom was not in on the secret and Mary was married to Tom. As a group, while at the cabin, they all should have looked out for Tom's interest. If as Mary said, they loved and respected Tom so much they sure were quick to backstab him. I am not so sure Tom should have agreed with Mary's going to the reunion either. Had she really earned Tom's trust? Good relationship read.

AnonymousAnonymous4 months ago

Who is to say what they did at the reunion?

AnonymousAnonymous4 months ago

Tbh, I think you’re right, it was better that he didn’t sleep with the other women. I even liked that you noted that he wondered if sleeping with any of them would cause him to question his views on fidelity.

I don’t know if it would make him a hypocrite, or even in the wrong, but I think the current version is the best outcome for the story.

AnonymousAnonymous4 months ago

He left the slut off the hook too easy. "I'm so sorry" came quickly and too often. I don't have problem with them saving their marriage, but her level of betrayal and disrespect would call for a hell of a lot of work and making her feel the pain. He should also do a DNA and STD tests.

"While writing this, I gave some thought to having Tom just lie to his wife that night at the lake house. He could have agreed to fuck all of the Townie wives while Mary watched and then he could have dumped her after getting his revenge. I think he may have been justified in doing that, but felt it might be a bit hypocritical if he did"

Where is the hypocrisy? It would be hypocritical of him if he had agreed to the couple swap, had sex with her friends, and then left his wife because she had sex with other guys.

Good story. I do not have any confidence that she did not screw around at the picnic. All she would have to do is have one of her friends watch the kids.

Dalton402Dalton4024 months ago

I thought that situation was handled very well. Mary faced with the consequences of her cheating realised that her friends didn't have her best interests at heart. All they wanted to do was screw with each other and she concluded that swapping and an unwilling partner was not compatible. She had a choice, her husband or her friends. She chose her husband. Despite Tom's lack of trust, she proved her fidelity.

Great job

AnonymousAnonymous4 months ago

Epilogue: Mary laughed as she hung up the phone and returned to the orgy. How did she get so lucky marrying such a pathetic sissy wimp? She didn't know, and she didn't care. He was easy to dupe so she kept doing it because she was a cheating skank slut who felt love only for herself. She even used her kids to manipulate her clown of a husband. She found herself hoping he'd just die and leave her well off. "Such a stupid cuck" she thought as two guys grabbed her and threw her down on the bed.

sbrooks103xsbrooks103x4 months ago

If it was just telling him about the past, it would be one thing, but she's been CHEATING on him for years, simply allowing him to join in now isn't enough.

\

"I promise I'll never do anything with them again." - After he "samples" the other wives, they should break things off with the group. Remove all temptation.

\

"I thought we were going to restart everything" - And that's exactly why they have to leave.

\

I know mentioned cutting the group off, which happened organically. I expected that he was somehow going to find out that there was something going on at the lake house, glad you avoided that cliche.

\

I still think he should have taken her up on the offer to fuck the other wives.

AnonymousAnonymous4 months ago

The fact that she knew that he'd been checking up on her phone for stealthy texts means to my doubting soul that she could've had another phone and arranged to have had another go at it with her pals during the reunion by having a sitter and games to distract the kids while visiting Annie. I believe in Murphy's law: When something can go wrong, it will go wrong!

Uhh...sure a spouse's sexual history is normally just that. History.

But come on...if your future spouse had been engaged in pulling trains and engaging in a summertime full of orgies? With all of the people that she's STILL best friends with? People that she's made part of your weekly social group? You see and hang out with all the people who've fucked your wife uncountable times? Cum in her ass and pussy and mouth? Eaten her to orgasm.

And these are the guys you hang out with and go golfing with? Bowling leagues? Too cookouts with?

And they were all having orgies for months together? And your new wife doesn't say ANYTHING to you about that history? Just brings you with them all and they are all keeping this secret from their past?

You all don't find that just a little bit disrespectful? In bad taste? Wrong in any way?

Sorry I see that completely different. She did owe it to him to tell him. "Hey...you know I dated other men in college. I had 5 boyfriends before you..."

"Yeah...so what? We said nothing mattered from before we met. I had 7 girlfriends since my senior year of high school...no big deal. None of them mean even a fraction of what you mean to me."

"I know honey...it's just that...well...there were some other boys..."

"Other boys...?"

"Yes...and we'll you sort of know them. Have hung out with them. And I don't want to get married next month without first talking about our gang's time at the cabin 3 summers ago..."

"What? I know them? No!...the 4 guys that you grew up with here in town? That you insisted I get to know since they were such a big part of your past? Those guys? You've fucked them all? When? And what about a summer at the cabin??"

She tells him about the summertime at rhe cabin...she describes in pretty solid detail all of the different kinds of sex...the frequency...and ways they all paired up and experimented during that summer. It was 3 months of sexual freedom for the group. Uncountable times they all shared their bodies wirh each other.

And about how...that now they were all still good friends who spent time together socially.

If she had told him that...a month before the wedding? What do you think happens?

Do they even get married?

If they do marry. Is he friends with ANY of those people? Does he allow his wife to stay "good friends" and close with all of them? Does it change the nature of their relationship? Does he trust his wife around them? Does he insist they she never be alone with the group or any of the individuals?

I know if I was in his shoes? And a fiance came to me and told me all this prior to marriage...that all of the people I had been hanging with for months had all had origies with and run trains on my fiance? And we were all hanging out still in a little social group of townies?

Well...I doubt the wedding would happen. And if it did? It wouldn't be in her home town. And her former fuck buddies wouldn't be welcome. And we'd never spend time with them again. There'd be no hanging out and we'd never go to the lake house again.

Sound harsh? Yeah probably. But in the end what happened when she was alone with her fuck buddies at the lake house a few years after he married her? Could he actually trust her? Nope.

I would have just left her the next day when I found out about it all. No kids. Not much community property. And he still could have taken that job in Atlanta and moved on with life without being married to a lying tramp.

AnonymousAnonymous4 months ago

I found out my wife had slept with her friend Sandy and her husband one night while I was out of town. But unlike your character, I took her up on the offer of a threesome with Sandy. And man was it amazing. Sandy is one of those women who every man dreams of having. Tall, maybe 5’-10” and maybe 130 pounds with long blonde hair and nice tits and an ass that I have dreamed about after seeing in a bikini. My wife on the other hand is maybe 5’-3” and 160 pounds. No super model. Sandy actually spent the weekend with us and I have to say it was incredible. She was riding me and said that she really loved the feel of my eight inches in her. She told me her husband Don was much smaller. That made me feel good. As it turns out, she and Don split up and Sandy and my wife have been spending a lot of time together. She crashes at our house a lot and several times we’ve all had a great time. Apparently the threesome she had with Sandys husband wasn’t so my wife could fuck him, but so she could be with Sandy. It turns out my wife has a bit of a crush on her and it works out great because she’s the one who invites Sandy over to play. Life is good.

I liked it. I like happy endings. I have never smoked pot so I can't speak from experience, but I don't think pot is an aphrodisiac. The orgy, after she was married, was definitely cheating and it's hard to excuse it as just getting carried away because of the pot or drink. Annie didn't really sound like a very good friend. Sarah understood and supported Mary's decision to put her husband and marriage first. It's hard to say if the other ending would have been as good. It's difficult to say because every fork you take on the road of life leads you to another fork and you never know where the road of life or a story will end.

Texican1830Texican18304 months ago

Excellent! Your score won’t look good because we have all these who will settle for nothing less than the death penalty for a wife who cheats, regardless of reason. I, however, accept that people make mistakes. Some regret their actions and never repeat them, like Mary. Others regret getting caught, and try to keep from getting caught in the future. Those are the ones you burn.

nickbgbnickbgb4 months ago

Tom and Mary remaining married isn’t inconceivable or necessarily a problem for me, but how we got there was. Years of secrecy and actual cheating would surely have required extensive counselling. Whilst her committing to the move to Atlanta was a good start, it was just that. Barely hours beforehand, she was on the verge of trying to persuade Tom to swing with those she had betrayed him with. And no way should Mary be allowed to hang around with her old ‘friends’ without Tom being present IMO. The reconciliation was far too easy, given what had actually been going on.

njlaurennjlauren4 months ago

I think the way it is written is fine. If he left her it would be okay, but fucking the other wives would make him in the wrong.

I think getting upset at her past was a bit problematic, even if it was her friends. The real problem was her cheating, and I think in the story the resolution was too easy. Tom could have left during the middle of the night, but it was obvious that he wouldn't do that bc he at that point wasn't going to leave her to the friends. To add to it maybe Tom to make her feel the pain could take his suitcase out of the room, move the car, and hide out for a bit, make her feel the pain of what she did fir a bit ( and also see if she tries to find him, or does she run into their arms?). It was just a bit too easy.

Her agreeing to move with him is a bit of making amends, but I think there still would be tension unsaid.

In the final scene she should have made it a point to check with him about going to the lake house& that she was going with the kids..especially knowing he was checking her texts, she should have made sure he understood.

I like that she doesnt get angry at him for looking at her phone. It is an invasion of privacy, but when she says that she is okay with it if it makes him feel more confident that shows love and understanding.

Well written..as far as the raging btb'ers, this story is not raac, they reconcile equally.

AardieAardie4 months ago

Plenty of opportunity to fuck with others to watch the kids at the lake house. It's not clear to me whether she cheated again or not. Opportunities at the actual reunion, too. It is vague about whether she actually cheated again or not, especially since she knew he was checking her phone because he was careless about it. She has demonstrated that lying comes as easily as cheating to her.

OK, its just a story BUT...

The problem is, once someone tells you a PACK of lies, what is the present and future value of their word?

NOTHING. AT. ALL.

They simply learn to tell you what you want/need to hear and lie better.

The fact that he was reading her texts, and even that she knew, did NOT excuse her from telling him about the Sunday lake meeting. Why would she not tell? Because maybe he would not be OK with her going.

Easier to ask forgiveness than permission, right ladies?

Not to mention that only a yr ago, she had a gang bang, while married??

Sooooo, She is STILL a cheater and a liar (by omission)!

All her statements about being now the perfect LW notwithstanding.

He can live in fantasy land if he likes, but he ought to, at a minimum, get DNA tests.

Women have a weird psychology about all of this: he strays and he's a cheater.

She strays and in her mind its his fault also. He wasn't attentive, didn't protect her, lead her, stop it, whatever.

More than that, to her, someone else has taken what was his (so he's less of a man) and planted a flag.

The gangbang was an absolute 100% deal breaker.

Mary says:

"Yes, I'll do whatever you say. If you say NO, I promise I will never come up here without you."

… That was right after Tom had found out about Mary’s cheating the previous summer. At that point, if I had been Tom, I would have been laying out the terms to avoid divorce – the first of which would have been no further contact with any of the cheaters (all of Mary’s “Townie” friends).

At that point in Mary’s and Tom’s marriage, there are no children; so a divorce is almost a “get out of jail free” event. Yeah, there’s some emotional trauma, and the community property has to be divided; but it’s a clean break provided there was a prenup that specified no continuing alimony (and many states have done away with alimony unless the wife is a stay at home). To proceed forward with the marriage without a postnup and counseling is beyond idiotic; yet that’s what seems to happen. Worse yet, two years later they start having children – which, for Tom, is 18 years of entrapment if Mary gets an itch.

And sometime after that, there’s a school reunion and all of the old friends will be there – but Tom is unable to go? Sorry, that should have been a case of Mary and the kids staying home and not attending the reunion.

I just don’t see how Tom regains trust in Mary after not just an affair, but an orgy. Not telling Tom that she had been sexually intimate with the friends they both partied with prior to their marriage was bad enough; but to then have an orgy with those same friends would have been the nail in the coffin. The marriage has communication problems – and once the information leaks out to Tom, there’s no way he can ever trust Mary again.

It’s Regguy69’s universe – but, due to the unbelievability factor, I just couldn’t emotionally connect with the story. There needed to be more “recovery effort”, a lot more, put into the reconciliation for me to buy into it.

I don't have an opinion on alternative endings. It was your story - not mine - and you ended it where you wanted.

My opinion on the story as is? I don't think I've ever read a plot quite like this before. Extremely well done. Five stars.

Great story. Perfect ending.

I don’t know whether to laugh at or cry for all the asshole commenters who have no sense or forgiveness and understanding. It bogles my mind that there are that many damaged people out there.

I can feel Tom’s pain for not knowing about the earlier events. But the morning they were leaving it becomes apparent that her friends weren’t really friends. They just wanted her for the sex and didn’t care about her marriage. Based upon how I read this they were probably all young and not very mature. I can see how she fell once. And she immediately came to her senses and left. And no I don’t think she should have ever confessed. Why hurt her husband if she doesn’t have to.

When they did leave and he brought up moving she didn’t hesitate one bit. That answered the question of how much she loved her husband. She was maturing when her friends weren’t. As far as the offer to fuck the other wives that was legit. She stated that she wouldn’t be getting with any of the other boys. She was attempting to make things right.

And just no. Once a cheater always a cheater is just a stupid immature statement from low self esteem people who are extremely immature and can’t handle life. I feel sorry for those who keep trotting out that trope.

Some people don’t deserve forgiveness but she certainly did and did everything right after the fallout.

And that's what happens when communication takes a back seat. What happened before marriage shouldn't have affected him that much, but I can understand his deep annoyance, not anger, in her keeping quiet. However, Mary's wrong in her keeping silent about what happened years later; in fact, it should never have happened.

The way she tried hooking Tom into it, by imagining he's with the other women, was totally screwed up. I agree with Tom checking the phones, etc. for verification, but if you do something like that, replace the damn phone where it was! Overall, Mary took the right path & I'm happy they're mostly able to work things out. (But the tease lead-in is slightly misleading.)

Good writing & story. 4 stars Bob

what she did in her past would have upset me as it changes the image I would have had of my wife. Not mentioning it for years later and me meeting these guys and being fin the dark would have totally pissed me off for a very long time. I would have had her move with me for certain and no more contact. BUT... once I Learned of the cheating DURING our marriage it would be divorce. I would not have remained married and I would not have children with her.

As for the townies? Not worth going to jail by beating the guys or the girls and I would NOT have sex with them as that is what they all want.

Hmmm in real life only a fool would keep her
