During Isaac and Opy's mating children weren't allowed to attend because it was considered bad luck, yet Jess kept Losy with her during Kael and Masu's mating. Are exceptions made for nursing infants? Also, Jess just gave birth about a week ago so she wouldn't be ready for sex for a few more weeks.

I feel like I am nitpicking your story to death but I really am not. I am simply trying to give some constructive criticisms. Take that for what it is worth.

I did see one other comment about Jess having sex with her mate maybe a week after delivering. There was also her being very active very shortly after delivery. Having seen my ex deliver all three of our kids the last thing she wanted to do was move more than needed. As far as sex the soonest was 6 weeks due to the trauma of childbirth.

Granted this is a story and can be created how you wish (or whoever is writing) but maybe some explaination of how she recovered so quickly. Maybe some sort of salve, mystical chant or whatever.
