Technically a very well written story. Regarding the story line. There are those who would say any story that makes the reader knash his teeth and scream is a success. This story is a success. If you want to read about a wife putting her loving husband through the wringer, with the help of hubby’s best friend be my guest

Was kind of hoping Newton would show up and shoot the lot of them. Alas only Dell got a bullet but nothing major. Story ended up turning out to be nothing but a cuck and a slutwife with supporting cast.

Boy this story went downhill FAST after the first few chapters. The characters completely morphed from what they were like in the first few chapters. Dell went from wanting to fight to save his marriage and keep his wife his to a cuck that can't fight or even protest when his wife wants something. Myra went from being a bored wife and wanting a divorce so she can fuck a predator, to content and wanting her marriage when the predator was revealed to be nothing but a sleaze, to superslut that wants to fuck other people and have threesomes and gangbangs. What the fuck man? Definitely a journey I'll say that.

I read TennesseeRed's other series first. If I had started with this one, I probably wouldn't have continued past Chapter Two. But whatever else you think, no one can accuse TR of writing "same old same old." His stories are well-written, and go in multiple different directions, with his characters (gasp) doing things *I* wouldn't have done! And if his characters aren't always consistent or unconflicted or righteous -- well, how consistent and unconflicted and righteous is real life?

Myra gets her way in everything it appears. Seems like the doctor needs to take a firmer hand or just dump her whore ass.

Myra is a slut, and used the circumstances to scratch her itch. The medical profession doesn’t feel that they need to embrace any moral code ,thus Dell will live with the fact that Myra will scratch itch any time she feels like. With friends like these, who needs enemy’s .... Jim t.

The fact that he goes from telling his wife that no man is to touch her to her sleeping with his best friend and then he's brother is in no way love on either of their parts.

Like I said it's good story telling but a bad ending.

Very well-constructed and well-written story. I don't understand some of the critics. As you confirmed, it's fiction. Nevertheless, it reflects real emotions and outcomes of behavior that really happen. The characters are all flawed, but are nevertheless human, not all good or all bad, not all wise or completely foolish. You told us something about life. It may be just fiction, but it's good fiction.

Just finished reading all 7 chapters. I gave you 5 stars for each one. I suspect my viewpoint was the same at the start of the story as it is now, but I can't be 100% sure of that. However that may be, my thought on love, lust, fidelity, adultery, sharing spouses, and life in general is: It's complicated!

Not a good ending. The change in the MC from the first chapter to this, doesn't ring true. In the end, he was railroaded, manipulated, and betrayed. Then thrown a consolation fuck to make things square? No bueno.

Sorry, but this story turned out to be a bunch of crap. He lets her go to the cabin to fuck Rich & Mitch. She probably would have been fucking Rich's other brother until he backed out. She is nothing but a slut. My ending would have been to dump Myra like she should have been. She is nothing but betrayal on a stick. Wendell should throw her to the curb or in this case to the cabin. Then he should have asked Claire to marry him so He, She & Julian lived a long and happy life together. That's my story & I'm sticking to it.

I like the way the reader's cliche' expectations are constantly violated in this series (as in "No Ordinary Game" too). I was afraid Chapter 7 was going to end with a plot twist worthy of the Hallmark Channel: Dell realizes that Claire has always been and is his One True Love; Dell denounces Myra as a whore and a slut; Dell and Claire marry and spend the rest of their happy lives in loving, sexually exclusive monogamy.

Actually, I rather like Myra. And I agree with ausfet: the love scenes and sex scenes with Claire were very, very nicely done. (I could have done without the gunplay with David Newton at the end, though.)

I like your writing and your vocabulary, not the typical language do used especially in a cockle story. Mel’s cockle in every sense of the world. Even when he played the macho man, he was doing a bidding, I wish you had shown how Myra knew about this guy and how she manipulate her husband into taking care of the situation. I think this is the reason that he had become a drunk and a big fat slob because she ruled the roost and it was his way of self-medicating. I think he had ignored all of our previous balances, but for some reason she was afraid of this guy and manipulated her husband and the best friend to come into getting rid of him. I think you should explore The Before and let us see the real to side of how someone like him become a cockle.

Enjoyed the first couple of chapters but had to give up on reading the rest. I really can't get my head around a husband who is willing to share his wife with another man.

Man are naturally possessive of their mates it truly is a primal thing built into our genes. For a man to be capable of sharing the women he loves he must have some defect that allows him to overcome that primal conditioning.

This tale of debauchery amongst respectable middle class folk in middle America is one of the best that I have found in Literotica. With it’s sordid sex, drug taking, wife sharing, BDSM, cheating, and cuckoldry combined with respect and love it contains everything that I could possibly wish for in erotic fiction. The author also writes well and creates rounded characters. He also stretched my knowledge of the English language when he weaved “bacchanalia” into the story - I nearly choked on my coffee. Well done!

Not many people like to take in a story that has as its major plot line the slow, inexorable character degradation of the main character. And in the process, be treated to the internal dialogue of that character justifying every small and large surrendering of his self-worth --- under the guise of him not being "enough" for his hyper-sexual wife and this surrender to her was the noble thing to do! Not to mention remaining "close friends" with someone who was a principle instigator in his wife's seduction! Maybe you could write an alternate ending? Something like: "OK, go to the lake with Rich and the boys. really enjoy yourself. I'll have the divorce papers ready for you when you get back. Stay as long as you like. I won't be here when you get back. This is your last manipulation of me to satisfy your lusts. I hope you enjoy the consequences as much."

That might produce a different new pathway story than getting him shot!

After both the wife and the friend swore no sex at the lake house, I bailed on the story as soon as the wife dressed up to get laid. I just went to the last chapter to see how it ended. I’m sorry to say it ended pathetically. Two stars.

I noticed the title in the SIMILAR STORIES menu of another tale and started reading it. I loved the character descriptions. Finishing the first chapter I saw that I voted on this story some time ago. My memory failed completely. I reread the entire story and enjoyed the plot development and Myra's descent into whoredom with Dell's blessing. I'd like to think the foursome got together at the lake house for a good fucking by all. Why not include Jillian and Mitch in the mix?

What bugged me most about the guy was his passivity, and that he never did anything that made HIM happy. Myra always got what she wanted, even if she broke agreements, and he couldn't say no to her.

Your writing itself is very good. Even Larry McMurtry wrot a story of a guy who was similarly passive (wealthy but passive) and never REALLY happy. It was about his reconnecting with his daughter in a Houston suburb.

Do keep writing, but please give your character some backbone.

Powersworder: Wendell's in love with Myra, and she's a handful. Try to see this as a story about Myra, as seen through Wendell. Myra is not vindictive, just matter-of-fact. Revenge never enters into her thinking, at least as I wrote her. She forgave Wendell and Claire years ago.

Look at it this way: Wendell has his loving wife who is more sexual than ever, he has his former lover who is still best friends with his wife, he has all his old friends save Helen, a lovely new daughter, his children, and a job he enjoys more than ever. All that with no acrimony. Oh, and he vanquished his shadowy nemesis. Isn't all this the LW ideal?

As I said earlier, it was always your direction and call as the author, so whatever anybody else wanted didn't matter. That is why I rarely make judgements on the actual content of stories.

The overall effort was very good. Moved along well.

As someone earlier noted, you really downgraded Dell as the chapters went on.

In this conclusion I kept thinking that the only good ending for Wendell would be for him to be shot dead. He never pulled his head out of his ass and his marriage is totally fucked up.

Saying he needed therapy to work through his issues, (the way you wrote him, he definitely had issues) I thought the story would end on a more positive note. I don't think sober means aquiescent, and he made no changes from that attitude even after getting his head shrunk. I wrote off a lot of his actions as that of a broken man, with a wife and friend that took advantage of that. Inertia must be a powerful pull, you really didn't provide any other reason why he would stick it out after all this occurred. Maybe I'm just dissapointed in the ending, you really left a lot uncovered.

You write so well that this conclusion was a big let down for me personally.

P.S. When I say positive, I don't mean any of that btb crap, just for him to be in more control of his own happiness. (As opposed to wallowing in self pity)

Every time I thought you couldn't make me dislike your main character more, you proved wrong by making him even worse! He does not seem to mind who screws or beats his wife, as long as they are a "good guy!"
