There are those who will say that he's being ridiculous and that he should talk it out and work it out. That's fine, but the MC is not wrong. How will he ever trust her again after that? There are things you simply can't come back from and have things be healthy again.

Probably would have been better if it was a little longer, but it was a good story of a man not putting up with the delusional ramblings of his soon to be ex-wife.

A bit to abrupt but good to read about a man who has enough self-respect to get away from a wife like this woman. It would only end badly for him, and his observations were correct. She'd just keep cheating once she knew he wouldn't do anything about it. He may or may not find another woman, but better to be single than be with a selfish person void of fidelity.

It's definitely a Loving Wives story. You warned people it was short and there are many people who write short, 750 word stories. For the complainers, you were told what it was. In that way, the story is legitimate. Maybe you should have included, "there is no sex" in your comments so people looking for that would give it a pass. Again, there are a lot of these stories that do not have explicit sex, so complaints that the story doesn't belong here is not fair. Many people read the Loving Wives for the relationship dynamics. Frankly, some of the worst writing is about sex. There are only so many ways to moan and groan. There are the occasional good sex scenes but most, meh.

The woman and "friend" in this story are the classic dumb and dumber. It's hard to write about a cheating wife and make her smart. As most comment about the wives, their thinking is really stupid.

Her husband had the perfect answer, "But I will agree to let you have your 'experiences'..." "I was single and fancy free when I had my experiences. You should be the same. I'll file for divorce tomorrow. Then you can have all the experiences you want.". I love his clarity of thanking. Yes, it's been done before. Almost all these stories have been.

I do have a big problem with her lack of having "experiences" being the reason she puts forth. The story clearly says she was NOT a virgin. She HAS had experiences. When will she have "enough"? 10 guys? 100? 1000? It's a key point of the story and the story itself negates it. The story says "She didn't know what sex was really like with anyone else, and I did.". That is flat out wrong.

You need an editor, this is too short for anyone to really care about anything that happens in the story but it doesn't help that you didn't proofread it. It was implied that she fucked in the back seat of cars but the narrator was her first in a bed and other locations. How does she lack for experience? This is also a well worn trope that shows how stupid the woman is - she's listening to some random person at work instead of her husband of x years (you never tell us how long they were in this relationship so we don't know how devastating this was for them).

This could have been a pretty good story. You made same the mistake I made in my first story. Too short and you could have taken this in some interesting directions. Your writing itself looks good.

1) She offers to swap. Now he is no longer waiting at home while she gets her rocks off. The have sex within rules.

2) She gets him company for the same evenings. IE her penance is having to get women... perhaps her best friend...

The author may see this as simple, but it clearly is not. So much is missing from this fragment (or perhaps seed) of a story. No sense of how old these people are, or how long they have been married. Maturity levels are part of the calculus, as is how happy each partner has been, or whether they have talked about problems (or are even capable of discussing things like two rational adults who supposedly love each other). Why is the husband such a moralistic, rigid, unempathetic jerk? How could the wife be so clueless about how her idea would impact her husband? How is it that the wife is so permeable and vulnerable to the influence of her friend? Unfortunately, so much has been left out which could make this an interesting and unique story that all we are left with is a bland outline which will need a lot of work to turn it into an acceptable story. So much potential untapped.

Only correct response when someone wants to open up a relationship is to leave.

It did go down rather fast (time line not length of story).
