"I do believe I am ready for bed now. Early conference. Thank you for a delightful evening. I shall see you both on Tuesday."
Willa stops her from leaving with an extended index finger, "Claire?"
"Yes Willa?"
"Thank you for giving us the best of both worlds."
Claire appears puzzled, "Nick and Dorian?"
"Them too." Willa sighs, "I meant a happy home. A fun life to lead out there."
"You should be thanking My Husband. It is his world we all live in."
"Right. Night Claire."
"Good night Girls. Pleasant dreams."
The computer goes blank. Willa in turn shuts her own computer down.
A long silence fills the room as both girls get lost in the ambiance of the fire. The popping embers mesmerizing.
Suddenly, Eve perks up with flailing hands.
"I almost forgot. I got a raise."
"Awesome." Willa beams.
"Yep! I also had a cool idea."
"Let's hear it." Willa yawns.
Eve fills her in.
Willa agreed.
They both cuddled as the fire waned.
Fast asleep.
