Rhys stopped within inches of Niklas Metzger and stared into the eyes of the smaller Were. The Archivist's expression was chilling to all in the room. And from the look on Niklas' face he was petrified. Rhys' arm shot out and grabbed the Council member's throat tightly.
Niklas struggled to breath and yell. "How dare you touch me. This is an outrage!"
Rhys picked him up, held him in the air and spoke relatively calmly for all the rage that was boiling up in his body. "You told the Beta to kill my mate. You will pay for that."
"I demand that you show proof. I had nothing to do with your little human's accident." Niklas knew his only hope was the Head of the Council. "Alistair, please, stop him. I demand a trial!"
"The Beta said you told her to do it. Carr confirmed she was telling the truth. You've had your trial. I was the judge and jury, and now I'll be the executioner." Rhys's face showed no emotion. "Your death will be far too easy considering your crime Niklas, but so be it." Rhys gripped his neck with one hand and turned the startled Were's head with the other, swiftly breaking his neck and severing his spinal cord in one motion. He dropped the lifeless body to the floor and left the room. He needed to return to Katy.
Carr stared at the body laying at his feet. He looked up at Alistair who had a disgusted look on his face, turned, and walked out of the room, the remainder of the Council with him.
Alistair turned at the last minute and faced Carr. "There will be no cremation Carr. Please have him buried quickly."
Carr's face blanched. Burying a Were was the worst end any of their kind could imagine. They believed in reincarnation but felt the soul didn't leave the body unless it was burned. This way his soul would be trapped inside his body for eternity, and he wouldn't have another chance at life.
Carr called James and Bryant over. "You heard him. Take him as far out as you can and don't leave any evidence of a burial site."

I agree with the last anon almost 2 years ago Only in stories and movies are where my animalistic side asserts itself otherwise I'd have no outlet and that WOULDN'T be good! So Again THANK YOU!!!!
Anonymousover 4 years agoOnly in fictitious stories can I allow my own animal instincts to glory in snuffing out the of a life of a villian. Normally I'm a pacifist that doesn't believe in corporal punishment but damn that was hot how Rhys lept to avenge his mate! I don't even have any sympathy for Cheryl losing her arm. Funny how primal my reaction is when reading and don't have to apply reality and all it's implications.
Zsadistover 9 years agoThis story has kept me very interested. In the beginning I was a little annoyed by how every bad guy/girl seemed to be a jilted lover. Now that more characters have been introduced and more character development has happened, this is becoming one of my favorite were series. It's action packed but flows so well. There have been some proofreading mistakes with some names but overall really really good job. Like a bottle of red wine, this story is getting better with time.
myassisdraginover 9 years agoI do not usually cmment on a series util the end but I do make the odd exception when it's as good as this one is.
Lilgirl, you keep apologizing for the chapters being so short, this is not a problem when the story is as intriguing as this one is. I for one am loving it. I have also had an idea about humans who are unknowingly Were and are found by thier mates and you have done a good job of turning it a story...

Anonymousabout 11 years agoWell lilgirlsix you are awesome! I love that Rhys killed Niklas with his bare hands! At first I thought that Niklas was going to get Cheryl to try to kill Rhys but you surprised me. I wonder what will happen to Cheryl now. Maybe she'll tone down a bit but I doubt.
Anonymousover 11 years ago... and I suspect that once they're dead, Gary, Paul and all of the current Dire wolves will be buried as well. Not sure about Cheryl though.
Doctimeabout 12 years agoWhat a hoot! Imagin, reading a Literotica story, not because of the sex, but because of the story. However, the sex is good also. You are a good author, with a vivid imagination. Keep up the good work.
booknerdabout 12 years agoI knew Rhys was going to kill Metzger... the douche had it coming. Although, breaking his neck was a bit too genteel. I love the story, the characters are so well written. This series is a great read. Thank you for sharing this with us and I hope you continue to do so!

kelleigh0127over 12 years agoYou know what??? Karma is a bitch and he got his. Always going behind someones back trying to cause harm so he got his just desserts. Cheryl without an arm she's going to feel like she can't live anylonger and be of use. So I guess she is getting hers now also. Ha Ha...punks
