I'm not normally one for pointing out plot holes, but it's pretty lazy that the crazy scientist gets a job which only needs his special talent when it turns out the husband hiring him is wrong... Why didn't hubby hire a PI to catch them fucking? Why did the mind controller take a job that didn't require mind controlling...? The deal only makes sense with knowledge neither party had at the time.
