Thought those blue topaz eyes came from Evie, not The Reinhardt (and isn't he dead)?

This is the second story I've seen from this writer. I don't get it. Wash, dry and repeat. They aren't loving wives stories and don't belong here.

AnonymousAnonymousover 2 years ago

Before you comment take the time to GOOGLE Major General Smedley Butler. You will find it a most interesting read. Todd here seems to have painted a pretty good picture of what's going on in U.S. today and has been for some time. Oh as to the story it should get a 10 or perhaps a 20. Interesting don't you think that Tara, Tiffany, Emma and Delaney are all sisters fathered by the Reinhardt. Thanks Todd for a story that has a lot of fact in you read about Smedley Butler.

AutistAdventurerAutistAdventurerover 2 years ago

Amazing as usual.

When Emma was doing public engagement and pinned Delaney, Tess, et al., the blue topaz eyes didn't jump out at Mack, Tess or any of them? If not then, then later?

Every time I think that Todd172 and the Missus can't write a better story, I have been proven wrong. And I am just delighted about that. I have been waiting for this new Shack story for months, checking the site on a nearly daily basis. And in the darkest hour of the night, I know that it was worth it. A constellation of stars is nowhere near enough to rate this story

Just got Online and as usual dropped into Lit,LW, see if anything worthwhile is up.

So.. lemme start by saying THIS IS FREAKING AWESOME!!!!

There, got that out of my system.

Seriously. Keep doing this. Keep writing these stories. Because they are, simply, amazing. Wonderful, hilarious, ... I'm going to run out of adjectives, so I won't get going.

Thank you.

Delaney at her best

Yet again a very entertaining story with believable characters that you want to know more about. Cannot wait to read further stories about these characters. In the meantime once again I am rereading the authors previous stories.

You should be getting published.

Your stories could easily be made into movies.

Just too good.

I can only give 5 stars more if I could.

Excellent stuff - like Maria's fallback career option working with Mookie - ties lots of stuff together - think I posted on another Needles & Delaney story about the girls meeting Spooky - seems you were already there (or was it the missus ?) ... just one more thing - you aren't setting up for a Tess & Mookie romance are you ? ....

AnonymousAnonymousover 2 years ago

Brilliant!

secretsalsecretsalover 2 years ago

Some heavy name-dropping going on here, must've mentioned or featured most of the extended cast by the time the story was done. Action was a little less than previous Needles and Delaney fare, but as a way of setting up Thugbunny's solo career after Needles is really over the hill, it's expertly done.

I can't help but wonder why this series is still staying in LW, since the ex only played a peripheral role in the first story and has faded further into the background with each sequel. Not to complain, though - they're definitely some of the best stories in the section.

Been thinking it was time for the next addition to the Todd172 Shack Universe. You and your spouse just get better with each creation. When you posted multiple Needles/Delaney stories I was concerned that it might become too much of a tangent from the (beloved?) Shack cast but you have masterfully interwoven the old band into the current scenarios. Can't begin to imagine the planning these require. Once again many thanks for sharing your adventures.

dys_xelicdys_xelicover 2 years ago

Well, I've bought the first one, now waiting for you to put the sequels on sale ... :)

I've read all your stories here, and never was disappointed. Congratulations, another great story, time well spent. And please, also put "the tales from the shack" in print/ebook form so that we can show our appreciation in a more tangible way. You deserve it.

AnonymousAnonymousover 2 years ago

Was already a huge fan of your and the missus' work, but this has got to be the best damn thing I have ever read even if is not technically a "Loving Wives" story. Already bought your Amazon book on Needles and Delaney and have never regretted it! Love you guys and cannot wait for more! Fuck. Reinhardt?! Really?! Fuck.

As usual, just brilliant. I do love any of your stories that have members of the shack in. Being greedy I would have loved to see monster in this one. You write such great characters, the 3 girls are worthy of the series and I hope to see more of them. Thanks for writing.

vhasstvhasstover 2 years ago

First discovered the tales from "The Shack" while recovering from a spinal operation, such great character studies, great pace and unpredictable arc's made them irresistible. There is something about them that reminds me of the stories i read as a teen borrowing pulp fiction that my elder brother and father had left aside. I can think of no other author on Lit where i have favourite characters. Thanks for your works Todd172, 5 Stars

Hated it. Non-erotic story doesn’t belong in Literotica.

AnonymousAnonymousover 2 years ago

Yawwwwn. And why is this in the LW category?

AnonymousAnonymousover 2 years ago

Brilliant, just brilliant. My only complaint is that I can only give 5 stars.

Fantastically written, just oozing tension and pace, better than most thrillers out of Hollywood.

I love all the Shack stories, actually all of your output, and this has just extended the fine tradition.

My only complaint is that I saw the story just before starting work this morning, and had to leave it untouched until lunchtime. I'm not designed for handling that level of stressful anticipation.

No pressure, but, more please. Whenever you can.

There are several authors on Lit who really know how to handle character voice, possibly the hardest job when writing. You have some serious skill here. Thank you for another fine tale (even if it was a bit of a Whitman's Sampler of a cast).

Todd, as always great work, thank you. And your followers know why it's in Loving Wives. And that Delaney's mom is a cheater, and part of Needles' anger issues.

@PeckingChicken I don't think the Reinhardt's eye color is specifically mentioned. Blue eyes is a distinct possibility, in which case the topaz coloring might be dominant among blue-eyed offspring and explain Emma. Or a dominant mutation -- Elisa (Emma's daughter) has the same color too. There are circumstances where specific shades of eye color can be tricky. Or -- my favorite theory -- the Reinhardt had the same unusual color, and that's why he married Emma's mom. My first wife had eyes so emerald green that as a baby her parents (both green-eyed, BTW) took her to a specialist on the orders of her pediatrician -- there's a rare but serious condition that can cause that. But it was just her natural eye color, she kept it all her life, and seeing her for the first time that color stopped me in my tracks and prompted me to date her even though I don't have green eyes.

Outstanding. I read all the Shack stories multiple times. I hope the series continues as people keep trying to kill Delaney and run into "difficulties".

drif10drif10over 2 years ago

Great story.

Kinda miss Sheree in this, but I can't see how she would have fit in to it. Not having Delaney and Needles interacting missed a bit too.

The blue eyes, I thought that was Evelyn, not Das Reinhardt?

These are great characters, lots of potential stories in them, with crossover, like the reference to Shameless.

Looking forward to your next stuff. In the meantime, I'm gonna reread this one.

BTW: On the android app, the story doesn't load properly, it truncates about a third of the way through, right after:

"Your water system, though. I know how to make that a lot better. " *****

Glitch in the matrix somewhere, I guess.

Late in 2016, "Behind Blue Eyes" placed Emma as a near impossible pregnancy:

"I paid - very dearly - for the privilege of viewing his medical records. Emma was almost literally a miracle." as The Reinhardt's tadpoles were 99 44/100% jellyfish.

In 2021...

"But that odd blue topaz color... I'd seen it before.

Delaney resembled her sisters.

All of them.

Tara...Tiffany...

And Emma."

Which leads me to wonder if Evelyn Cabot didn't have a wandering genome, manifesting as the equally lustful for money and power, former Mrs. Lester Dawes, Chartlotte. a/k/a "that bitch".

Also from 2016 Howard voiced: "She glanced around for a moment then looked up - right at me. I could see her clear blue eyes through my scope as they settled on my position."

I don't recall any mention of The Reinhardt's eyes other than "shark-like" when losing the custody battle for Ellie. Elisa would share those same eyes later in the same story "Blue Topaz Eyes" (July 2016).

Thanks for an otherwise compelling read - per usual!

Stunning, as always. It's a true pleasure to read writing that is clean and masterful, full of intricate character development, with never a false note, and full of compelling characters. Every time I read one of these stories I love that I can simply relax and slip seamlessly into this world without fear my suspension of disbelief will come undone.

My only faint complaint is that this author isn't more prolific, though that's something I completely understand. It's ultimately probably a good thing, as I'd have a lot fewer hours in my days.

I think it's great! Ignore the comments of ignorant idiot's. His post is an example of someone who doesn't bother to read a series to understand enough the background for a story to make sense before expressing an opinion. Unfortunatly there are far too many people like that in in world.

You may have waited a few years to release this story as you built that background but I, and I'm sure, many others, have waited equally long to read it. We'll happily want as long as you require to read more too!

Thank you for the time and effort you (and your wife) spend entering us, the price is right and if you decide to actually charge for your talent, just let us know where to send the money, you're both worth it!
