All Comments on 'Confessions From An Affair Ch. 02'

As I am catching up, I am a bit surprised that I have not found previous comments. I was certain that the second chapter would find us facing the lonely bride after the husband sailed away. It was therefore a nice surprise to join the embrace of the new lovers (in my mind...) and witness their first awkward moments. How unusual in the level of observation and the sensitivity to details!

A period piece that actually feels authentic!!!! I always roll my eyes at stories that are set in the 1940's in which the women are savvy about sex and have already had multiple partners before marraige.

THIS story is a much truer reflection of that time. It WAS more innocent but young women and men were forced to make some fast decisions and grow into adults pretty quickly because of the war. This chapter was a perfect portrait of what thousands of young brides must have felt on their wedding night.
