i find myself caught up in junies trials with her past, and how each day plays out. she's only coming to understand how her childhood has focused her life today. (lol, or at least that's how i'm interupting it). but also i'm wondering if Bob's minor in college was also psyc???

My mother discouraged expressions of emotion . . ."what's so damn funny," "I'll really give you something to cry about," and don't think, look, talk, act like that. Happy, sad, angry, silly were all no-no's that she couldn't deal with. It took many years for me to learn what emotions were--about Junie's age, in fact.
