Actually this writer did you a favor. I didn't read this story either, the comments pretty much told me what to expect. I think these wimp ass cuckold writers are finally getting it, warn the reader and maybe avoid a lot of nasty comments. didn't see that coming. Ready for a drag out cheating scandal, but this WAS a surprise twist. Unfortunatly, it needs more. This kind of setup, leaves too many questions unanswered. So, for my part as a commentor, I strongly encourage you to write a follow-up. Rating what you have as a stand-alone flash, I give a 3, but developing these characters and history a little, and giving the couple a chance to ride to the brink, might earn some solid 5's. I get it, if your intention was to leave this alone as a flash with a twist, but just having an original idea by itself does not insure literary magic. Keep fleshing this out, and I bet you find more success. Good luck!

I thought it was ridiculous for a one page story to have him spend so much time on the mundane, of shaving,dressing, etc, it kind of seemed like Bambi versus Godzilla or something..then when he describes their schedules, I am like "uh, oh, cheating wife, different scheduled"....but that end made me chuckle, it was kind of like Mr. and Mrs. Smith or something, the blase way he said goodbye to her in her 'job'.

There are people where one or the other are sex workers, there are married porn stars, there are married strippers, and there are married professional dominatrixes and the like. I know of a couple of gay porn stars who are married, straight guys...so it isn't quite as outrageous as some think, if you think about it, a sex worker is doing it strictly for the money, there is no emotions there, they aren't even getting off on it most of the time, and if he knows and is okay with it, that is their business.

You could have a lot of fun with this story, if, for example the hubby is a gigolo, or even kind of more funny, a sex surrogate......brings new meaning to working from home, to be sure!

The perfect hook and twist. Men are married to nurses, hair dressers, factory workers, lawyers, real estate agents - some are married to whores.
